Dude. Excellent content and your info is spot on. I don't have a Skydio (yet) but have had my eye on it for over a year now. I think I'm close to making that order. I've had a Parrot Bebop drone for about 4 years now and also a DJI Mavic Pro (version 1) for about 3 years. Both are very good in their own right but for self-shooting footage while riding the Skydio is absolutely light years ahead of anything out there. What you said about the DJI's taking a TON of time to set up & launch and also the sketchiness piloting while riding to get those tracking shots etc is SPOT ON - I can attest to this as I have a lot of experience recording while riding and so on. I'm hoping to finally be able to place my order soon. Cheers

Also, I've wanted to take my Mavic Air on rides with us but filming at all always seems like such a hassle. I'd actually commented to my husband when we were watching the Everesting video - I was like "I wonder if he has someone with his running the drone or if he keeps stopping to do it. Not into the drone thing but it's easy to see it's a clear improvement and much easier to use so that will mean more cool videos from dirty teeth! ....the music track is another story and it's on my electronic Playlist on Spotify my legs just keep moving when the beats start pumping.... Dirty teeth. Thank you for the wonderful review on the skydiving drone. As a “one man band” like you getting drone footage with my mavic air is a challenge. As you stated the Mavic’s want to be PILOTED! This is the best review that I have seen for this drone as of yet. Certainly has encouraged me to go and pull the trigger on this piece of equipment. The one question that I have is does it fit into a regular backpack? Thank you again for the great review.

Oh the SkyDio is totally worth it for Cyclists and adventure sports. Yeah, the back order is crazy on them. But they are super capable. I've watched a ton of videos on them and some day I'll be able to afford one.

Hey where is was most of this riding at, and the trail along the river how many miles can get there. your lucky with that riding in the wide open with no trees I see a lot of riders are having problems with it getting trapped in the trees on there rides But it does cover good amount coverage.

Thanks for watching and commenting, Mark - this test footage was all shot within a couple of miles of my home in Idaho. I've since used the drone in trees and it does fine, as long as you're careful..., it has issues with really skinny branches, fences, and power lines - so I keep it away from that type of stuff. But for the most part it figures a way over, around, under and through most anything... Ride on!

Thanks for watching and commenting, Jim - so far it's done well in the trees... it figures out if it needs to go above, below, around, etc - the only issue I've had is with sparse trees here and there with skinny branches... I'll send it up high if I'm near those or power lines that it can't see... I'm not sure exactly how far away it needs to be when following... with the beacon, you can click between 4 distances... but might have more control with the phone app? - the Skydio site has a lot of info, and there are a zillion tech videos here on youtube that could help if you want more info... ride on!
