Just a tip, holding a mobile phone in your hand whilst driving (car, bike whatever) is 270 Euro fine if caught in the Netherlands. Foreigners must pay in cash immediately, otherwise the car, bike or whatever is confiscated at the spot until payment follows. That is true about every fine, by the way, unless the country you come from has an agreement to take over the execution of the fine. Another tip, wild camping is illegal in the Netherlands as well (I think 175 Euro fine, even more in the dunes as we depend on them for protection from the sea and our drinking water).

Hi. Thanks for watching. Actually, I think we were pretty lucky with the weather. We only had rain in 2 days out of 11, so it was pretty good. We were mentally prepared for worst.

Next time if you want to do this again. split the Netherlands into 4 parts. start in the North in the "Frisian" part of the Netherlands. Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. Then the Eastern "Saxonian" part. Overijssel, Gelderland and the Flevoland and Noordoostpolder. Then go the the Randstad, North Holland, South Holland and Utrecht. And then to the, in my opinion, most beautiful part of the Netherlands. Our "Burgundic" South. Zeeland, North Brabant and Limburg. Make sure you can or are able to visit most of the cities in this area.

Also, did they ask for your groups height and inseam measurements? My cycling partner is only 157 cm tall so need a small bike for her...

@dianemckim9535 Hello. I think they call them hybrid bikes. We did all the communication via email, and yes, we did send the heghts and gender by email, so that they could have the bikes ready. They are super responsive, so if you write to them, they will provide all the details. And this way you can also check their availability for the rental period.
