Bikepacking on a Brompton - Quick Shelter and Tarptent using your bike.

Set up a quick shelter or a complete over night tarptent on your bikepacking adventures using your Brompton as part of the structure.
2018 Brompton M6R with reduced gearing (to take at least some of the vinegar out of the hills).
1 x 3m 8mm alloy tent pole for Ali-Express - made into 2 x 1.5m tentpoles.
2 plastic groundsheet pegs.
1 x 500mm (approx) hooked bungee cord - or you could use webbing for a 'no wobble, no flex' version.
Guyline.
The pegs and the groundsheet are from my tent that I have with me anyway, but I sometimes take the 3x2 tarp as well to make a bigger awning/porch to cook and sit under.
Lots of Experimentation.....

Thanks for the video. Cool ideas for building a shelter which keeps you AND the Bromi dry. Why do you tie down the Bormpton? Should it not stand by its own and be even more secured by the pressure of the tarp just like to poles? I'm just wondering.

Any movement by wind or just a knock can cause it to fall over. They’re not the sturdiest even when on flat tarmac. This is just for insurance. You don’t want the weight of a Brompton falling in your head…
