Spectacular landscapes to travel through. You gave us a great glimpse of this mountainous section of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail.

Thanks Peter. The KVR ended up being my favorite trail from coast to coast. Cheers

Too bad about loosing that section of the KVR from Penticton thru the Myra Canyon as it is truly spectacular. There is a group in Naramada (I think they call themselves The Woodchucks) that are trying to raise money to open up the Adra Tunnel (which is near those ovens). I have yet to cycle from Hydraulic Lake thru to Castlegar.

Yes I rode up to the entrance to the Adra Tunnel as you know it was fenced off but it was still very interesting. You could feel the cool air coming from the dark tunnel. Cheeers

@@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures both times I went through there I could go into the east side of that tunnel partway.

What a beautiful area! Interesting find with the 19 ovens (did not get the Steve Y. reference). Great to see that they're still there, and as always, that nature has taken over. They make great dens for wild animals. I'm sorry to hear about your GoPro being stolen. Do you know how it happened? Or was it missing when you came back to the camp spot?

Yes it is a incredible area. I am going to back as I said and film it the way it should be. The KVR is a must do in my opinion! It was stolen while I was sick in my tent from IBS problems. I heard them but I was unable to do anything because of how sick I was at the moment. Steve Yzerman is one of the greatest Detroit Red Wings of all time lol. :)

@@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures Oh, that's so low. I really dislike thieves. I hope karma got them good for what they did. Detroit Red Wings weren't on my map either - had to look that up as well.

Oh wow, such societal parasites, to steal a GoPro! How did they manage to do this?
@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Yes lowlifes to be sure. I was sick in my tent from IBS and I forgot the Gopro on the bike and the rest is history as they say.

Only bad theft incident that I have had was to leave my bike unlocked beside my tent in a country town (towns here are pretty darn safe to leave bikes and gear about) while we drove in to go for dinner. Came back and the bike was gone 😥 Next day I spoke to people running the trail ride I was going to do, gave the details of the bike, a fairly unique MTB dually. Next day, back home I got a call from the local bike shop owner - he had my bike. The thief had brought it in for some repairs to the chainring he had bent and the shop-owner (who had run the trail-ride) confronted him. He did a runner, but came back, dropped the bike and ran off. I was SO joyous 😁😃
