Bikepacking the Trans Pennine Trail from York to Sheffield

This is an overnighter from York to Sheffield following the Trans Pennine Trail. At Chapeltown (Sheffield) I came off the TPT and followed the Blackburn Valley Trail for a while. It seemed a more direct route and was probably added after the TPT was set up. There were hardly any hills for the whole trip.

Hi. Glad you enjoyed the vid. Hopefully it gives a flavour of what it's like. Day 1 was just over 40 miles and Day 2 was just over 30 mils. As you can see both days were on fast flowing trails, with easy access at both ends by rail.

Hi Paul. It was in Owston Wood. It wasn't the best of spots as it was all very wet. However it may be a lot drier in summer. I'm not sure what shenanigans went on further down in the woods but as it was about to tip it down the old portakabin was the best option at the time. I hope you have a good ride.

Hi. I just followed the route from the TPT website. You may be able to download from there. I've reversed the TPT from Chesterfield and that's similar and worth doing.

The stupid monuments on the cycle paths .Why dont they put a water fountain for the travellers to useespecially in Hot summers and heatwaves.
