Nice video Steve , can't comment on where you are as I have no idea, don't recognise any of it , but the trails look great . 350 seems to be doing your confidence a world of good. Glad to see your mate was ok after the off

Thanks for watching. Miles away from your neck of the woods, these trails are up in the North Yorkshire Moors, not too far as the crow flies from Whitby. Des was fine after his spill, thankfully he landed in the mud so no real harm done. I really like the 350, more than adequate for my style of riding and it’s no slouch, it can get a wriggle on when needed. 👍

Spectacular dismount (and I should know) 😁 but, apart from Rudland, I have no idea where you went. We need maps! Where were you?
@701Adventures8 ай бұрын
I thought if anyone would recognise those trails it would be you. They’re basically in the approximate area of Kildale if you know it?

@@701Adventures I have to say I've never ridden that corner - looks like I should add it to "to do" list - but only when it's dry - that mud looked horrible! 😝

Rudland Rigg I reckon. What model of Leatt goggles are you using please? I wear glasses and find it a bit of a pain.
@701Adventures8 ай бұрын
I put the goggles info in the description but basically they are the Leatt Velocity 5.5 over glasses version. 👍 P.S. yes, Rudland Rigg to start with and then some other local trails.

Just come across your channel. My brother and myself are just about to start trial riding. The first video I watch was the one posted a year ago. Where you did very well but couldn’t get up that steep very rocky hill. I think my brother and I would be the same. However this video just 14 days ago posted… wow. Your flying. Really enjoyed this video. Been looking on an off for a couple of days at the OS map. Trying to track these lanes down. I think I need a van 😂 Great stuff keep On enjoying… 👍👍👍

Thanks for watching and the great compliments. I’m slow getting the hang of things. Most importantly I just have fun which is what it’s all about. Whereabouts are you located, if you’re local I’m happy to accompany you on some rides if you wish? 👍

@@701Adventures we are in Cheshire. About 30 minutes if that from the Peak District. Stalybridge. Sorry for delay in replying. Just watching your hard knot pass. Video.. only been there in the car to check it out.. Yes this would be great if we could ride with you. We have crf 300l. My brother has only been Mick Extance off road last September. He seems to have lost his nerve a bit since. You’re doing very well.. And yes it is all about having fun. And getting to see more out there.

Hello Steve I had the same thing with my tablet. From memory while running a gps type app what it does is while charging it stays awake continuously. But what I found is if either end of the cable is loose or not connected to save your battery it goes to sleep every few minutes. I’ve found cables are not all born the same. Cheapy ones seem to not charge as quickly so battery actually drains while you’re using gps, or usb ends jiggle loose etc. Whereas quality cables stay in and charge more quickly. My answer buy a Samsung cable and alls been fine since. I’m week week into recovery from hand operation. Already bored of can’t do this or that. 5 weeks to go apparently!
@701Adventures8 ай бұрын
I remember you commenting on the quality of cables months ago so the one I use is a good quality cable. I believe I have found the cause but I still need to test it out on the bike. The tablet did a firmware update a few days prior to this ride and what I subsequently found after this ride was that the setting for the display being on had reverted back to the shortest time option available, 30 seconds which is no use to anyone. In future if it offers a firmware update I’ll just ignore it. Five weeks of recovery eh? That’s a bummer at this time of year. Plenty of time to use that break wisely though and plan a trip over to the ABR at the end of June. 😂
