I was there back in 2004. Was driving back from the Little Bighorn Battlefield to Deadwood,SD. Stopped for a beer and a hamburger. There was a large group from British Columbia in the campground but not thousands. I think there was over 500,000 people that year.

Two things even i find TOO daunting or impossible to do that others have tried: 1) ski down Mount Everest summit to base, and 2) be Sherriff of Sturgis, Montana that day of the year. But the Sherriff IS the "best and brightest" that all civil public service positions try to get and they hit the special mark that the town especially requires now = the system works. How about that?!

I always had a suspicion they could do this. I've driven through countless "road closers" and nothing was happening.

@@mattrebholtz3869 How is this being dishonest? You could be held up in traffic in that area for a long time. That is a two-lane road in the middle of nowhere. And 7000 bikes on that road coming in and out of that area could create a real problem, especially if there was an accident. It wasn't a closure it was an incident advisory for travelers to take another route to avoid this. There is another route which is better because it is Interstate and the speed limit is 80 mph and no towns to have to slow down for, as opposed to 65 mph from Crow Agency all the way to Belle Fourche. And Have you ever even been to Montana? Alzada is 60 miles to Broadus and 40 miles to Belle Fourche, which is not pronounced the way it is spelled. You would be crying if you were stuck out there for hours if there was a bad accident. Your whining about this tells me you voted for Biden Harris and will vote for Harris whatever TF his name is without coming right out and saying it!
