If anyone was wondering (and if this doesn't get buried...) this is an extremely common "ebike" chassis that is apparently ripped off of a little CBR 125. (Questions answered at bottom) This chassis is most common with Daymak for their "Daymak EM2" as well as the original "Emmo Zone" (Not the S or GTS, those are more of a Ninja 300) but it's all the same, cheap Chinese rip. You can find a million of these from a million different "companies" if you look, and it's all the same. Typically these come with a 72v lead-acid battery array which depending on the capacity (usually 20ah) charges is about 8-10 hours. It's capable of pushing around 55kph top speed and will last for about 30km before the battery runs dry. As mentioned these are usually targeted towards the "ebike" market, and usually have some sort of limiter that keep it at 32kph (easily disabled) and will cost you around $1000-3000 CAD brand new. To touch upon the question of "what do these buttons do", well it's usually controlled by a Bluetooth app on your phone. -The "kill switch" is cruise control. -The I, II, III switches are profiles you can set via the Bluetooth app for on the fly speed/acceleration/braking adjustments -The "rogue" red wire is an extra 12v cable in case you want to put any accessories on it.

This is one of those videos you do that I call a 'public service' video. I think you are great for doing these... it shows you care about riders of all levels, spending ability, and preference types. You thrown down the cash, do the testing, make an entertaining video about it, and save a lot of riders from making ill-informed decisions when maybe they don't have spare cash to just "give it a go".
@chrisdanze18734 жыл бұрын
The red wire is a spare one for batteries. The 3 speed set up works like this: 1 is for speed limited to speed 1 (let's say maybe 25 to 30 kph); 2 is for speed limited to maybe 50-60 and number 3 allows you to reach the top speed. You will be able to go further (better range) if you decide to use lower speed set up (number 1 or 2). Apart from that I don't know why you should use it. This thing probably doesn't use lithium at that price. Range can be way higher with lithium. Cheers from Cambodia where I rode electric scooters to heavy duty 3 wheelers, $80 used bikes to 30 years old 4 cylinders...Enjoy the rides!

There's no magic language fairy out there with a rulebook in their hand. @craigcampbell18433 жыл бұрын
This is ironic because my electric scooter lost its under seat storage which is an advantage of a scooter because one of its batteries takes up that space. I had to buy a trunk to make up for it. (My scoot does 50mph and has 50-100 miles range though) I’d love to see you review a NIU Ngt some time. That’s what I got.

I definitely say get a more powerful motor controller for it... Something like a 11kW Sabvoton would be absolutely beastly on a bike like that. Maybe upgrade the battery to handle the current if needed but as long as it's a 72v 32aH battery it should be good enough.
@CPVFX2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I have a bike like this, I changed to Lipo made this bike perform way better and got a better range from it. 40aH is what I went to. I think the batteries that come with this are 20aH led acid.

Do you know what voltage the battery is? What wattage motor you upgraded to? and the storage capacity Ah of the battery? This would be very helpful info for people interested in a town commuter that looks nice over a mopped. Thank you!
@CRGmotors4 жыл бұрын
Depending on the voltage output to the motor stock... could you drastically increase the output with different or more batteries? Kind of like putting 48v of batteries in series in a 12v powerwheels? Make it a screamer!(comparatively)

There's an electric bike called the Evoke Urban that's made by the same company that makes iPhones. The specs and promotional reviews make it look promising, but I've never seen an actual customer buy one and review it, and I'm really curious. Do you think you could order one and try it?
@OutlawCaliber132 жыл бұрын
Red wire might be for the limiter? Street laws, at least in Canada, require they only be able to go 32kph, or roughly 20mph. Most come with limiters on them, though often they're disconnected. The 1,2,3 switch is for power use/speed. 1 lowest, while 3 you could max out what your battery/motor are capable of. That's my understanding thus far.

@@RiverMersey You're right. I reckon an SLA of that size would be somewhat south of $100. The Lipo battery is surely in the multiple hundreds. I suppose it could have had a battery upgrade option when ordering. If not, they may be leaving it up to the customer to upgrade at some point in the future, especially when the SLA battery starts to show it's age.
