Absolutely love bike trac.. Been using it for 4 years now and the piece of mind is worth it alone. Hope to never need them have to recover it if it gets nicked, although judging by their recovery rate I have no doubt they would track it within no time at all. I also love following their recoveries on Facebook… They sure seem busy! I do feel guilty about setting it off and getting the phone call every time I put the locks on though… It can be sensitive. It has warned me a couple of times that my battery level is getting low which is a great feature! I highly recommend this 🤘🏻

i had a bike trac unit fitted by my best mate Max (he was an authorised fitter) on a bike i bought from him a few months before he passed away. The bike has a huge sentimental value to me now as you imagine and is effectively irreplaceable. this unit gives me so much piece of mind its worth it all day long. it also gave me a cool summary of my lands end trial early this year 730 miles in 36 hours with no sleep 🙂

I've have their Alltrac fitted to both my motorcycles and it certainly does give me that peace of mind. A question on European coverage. On a recent trip, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and back to the UK, the tracking was brilliant as family could see where I was, however it stopped on the Swiss border and started again 3 days later when I crossed back into Germany. Is that an issue with Biketrac or something legal/specific for Switzerland? Thx George.

Due to network changes made in Spring 2024, our device will not communicate while withinn the Swiss boarders.

@BillTaylor-v2o thanks for the update. It was a worry on the first night in Switzerland as when reviewing the previous day's route from Italy, I'd noted the Alltrac App said ignition on Obviously I ran down to the parking garage to check. All good. Then I realised it stopped at the top of Splugen pass, on the Italian Swiss border. It's good to know now. Ta G

Brilliant video and genuinely a great product , been using my all track unit for around 4 years which has definitely been worth the investment , one thing that was missing from the vid tho was any information about the actual unit itself , i bought mine around 4 years ago so ive no idea if its the best and current unit or has it been superceded by a newer unit , also the tip over feature i had no idea that was even a thing or i dont know if my unit being 4 years old has that feature hence my original question of not knowing if i have the latest hardware ie the unit itself , also wish the app had better control of managing my subscription , apart from that has been a Brilliant device and absolutely worth having

I’ve got a Biketrac fitted to mine and it will run the battery flat in a couple of weeks. I have to keep it on a trickle charge when not in use.

My wife and I both had Biketrac trackers on our bikes and we both had the same problem. I think we bought 5 new batteries between us, in about 8 months. These bikes were both under a year old. Best thing I ever did was get rid of them and move to Datatool, been absolutely flawless. I'll never buy another Biketrac product again.

Is there appreciable separation of powers between the device holder company, and government authorities? As in, for any hypothetical circumstances, the device holding company is not obligated to give the local government any information that the government could want, for hypothetical reasons?

My question pertained to what the data company would do in the hypothetical circumstance where the government wants the analytic data from the device and/or from the database where the data is stored. How they would contact the company is anyone's guess. Social media companies have given up monumental amounts of data to government entities in the last several years for various purposes, for example.

As Bill briefly mentioned at the end, if you legitimately put your bike in the back of a van, to go somewhere such as a track day, and the GPS signal is lost, do BikeTrac alert you to ascertain whether your bike may have been stolen? I presume they would contact you. Thanks.👍
@BikeTrac-w6c2 ай бұрын
BikeTrac will alert you to movement even in back of van unless you have chosen to stop the alerts by using service mode feature.

I've had both Biketrac & DATATOOL trackers fitted to my bikes in the past. Overall I would recommend the Datatool over the Biketrac for 2 reasons. The former creates a geofence around the bike that tells you when anyone comes near your vehicle (I had my bike vandalised because I didn't get an alert from the Biketrac I had fitted) and secondly the customer service is far better with the Datatool. I've phoned Biketrac in the past to have my bike put in service mode and the woman who answered made me feel bad for bothering her. Another time she insisted I give her my account number which I didn't have because I was at a garage. Really poor.
@bendavies67752 ай бұрын
Biketrac has a simple to use app now for switching modes.
@BillTaylor-v2o2 ай бұрын
Geofences are generally used to allow you to move your bike within that area, not so much to alert you people walking near your bike, this may be counter productive as would generate to many alerts. For BikeTrac to be triggered it would be looking for 25 seconds of continous movement, sadly vandalisum would not be picked up by most tracking devices. Sorry for your overall experince and wish you all the best.

Bike tracs biggest feature is the RF. If your device does not have that you are in trouble if your bike is hidden, data tool does not offer RF

So if its connected to the battery what stops the scumbags from following the wire back to the tracker and taking it out????
@chrishart85482 ай бұрын
It's best to not connect it directly to the battery. Or just let the wires follow a strange path and double back 9n themselves.
