And adding a few steps dosent heart anything in a significant way to hurt its efficiency, might as well increase it. i test rode this bike and i was tempted to buy it. but i found out that the charging port it uses is a proprietary port, that means you cant charge it in public charger. So you can only charge it at home. Pretty pointless. if they used the CCS 2 charging standard, we will able to charge it in any Tata power/Shell charging station.
