I’m riding The Fastest Electric Motorcycle in India 🇮🇳

The Ultraviolette F77 is pretty fast as well, what do you think? I think I should have test drove the F99 prototype which probably would be faster than EVE but also not street legal! Anyway, we had a blast racing around the fully packed streets of Bangalore in rush hour because we have the perfect bikes for it even though the f77 with 40hp is no competition for Eve and the manager of sales realised that quickly once I let him ride her! He compares it to his Kawasaki ninja super sport bike and of course with the biggest smile on his face!;) Thanks ‪@UltravioletteEV‬ for showing me around and for an awesome day! I loved it! This is a freakin’ cool bike!

oh there are over 100+ electric vehicle manufacturers in India, mosty in electric scooters and ev cars, and a few in electric motorcycle(less demand for electric motorcycle than electric scooters). EV industry is pretty significant in india, and it has only started gaining traction from the last few years after covid, most private sectors players have started joining in. Give it 8-10 years and you will see india having second largest EV markest and manufacturing industry after china. lots of stuff going on, exciting years ahead.

No its not good for the planet. Every step of the supply chain the damage to environment is tremendous from extraction of lithium to power generation. Most of Indian and for that matter all over the world electricity is produced by coal powered power plants. Plus these batteries will see severe degradation as they age, price if replacement can run upto 40 to 50% of original price of the vehicle. Thus increase in these vehicles being discarded. So over all there will be more wastage. I understand the appeal EVs hold and I am not interested in getting one anytime soon but the whole Eco friendly thing is a big fat lie.

we have multiple companies producing great electric scooters india, which sell a lot more than electric motorcycle. You can check ola scooters or ather scooters(pretty sporty and fast for a scooter) on youtube, they are the top ev companies in india.

It seemed like you were driving a mini bike. For people who have never driven an E-bike or an Eve, this is a good alternative because they don't know the difference between Eve and this bike. And it is much much cheaper. I'm sure that we will be able to buy them in Europe too.

Ev Scooter are very popular in India but EV Bike😅 I guess No one gonna buy them atleast for now thatswhy no company is currently working on any highend EV bike. In India when any guy think about purchasing a bike he either goes for Royal Enfeild and then upgrades to Harley. Or he startes with KTM/TVS Apache / Bajaj Pulser and upgrades to Kawasaki Ninja / Hayabusa .. in Adventure biking starts with RE Himalayan/ Hero xpulse and finnaly upgrades to BMW 1200 / Ducati 1200

@@Jonathan-L well u need to find some locals over there cuz i m from north part of India that borders Pakistan and those pristine states are in north eastern side of India bordering Myammar nd china at a distance of 2200kms from my state. But i assure u, they are soo calm, lesser population with unique culture. U must visit there🙂. My India is huge!

I do recall seeing a KZbinr on a new RE Himalayan 450 tour that region (a lady from Holland with the name like "Itchy Booty" or something like that). The scenery looked amazing, and the roads surprisingly good. To see communities exist where the landscape is almost solid rock is amazing!

Not for foreign registered bikes. If they stop they will let go once explained :) and there was one incident where a police/MVD checking squad who were not properly aware of the exemptions for foreign vehicles and tried to fine a foreign caravan that was travelling through Kerala for illegal modification and after that incident there is strict order from ministry and MVD to avoid such incidents and for locals, yeah, Kerala MVD and police is horrible experience with their strictness and unnecessary "modified" corrupt rules that benefit them but miserable to every rider/drivers.

Marc great vid. Two takes on this and more. The bike you tested is far above most anything made in India now. 650's with 46 HP don't come close to the F 77 test bike. Much better handling and all around performance. They have the minds to improve their ride over time. The new models are 50 percent better than the 19 models. Now thier take on your bike shows them how high the bar is for export to more powerful nations with the desire for performance and distance. They will take this small meeting and make a mountain of improvements out of it. I'm sure they know some about the other bikes just by looking and reading. But seeing first hand and getting to ride it and feel the multitudes of difference with have their brains whirling like a kite in a tornado. Safe rides, very interesting. Hope you had a chance to pick the CEO's brains where as I know they will yours. Where do they think it's going and where do they want to take it.

Hmmm, any inspiration can be useful, sure, and time will tell, but I reckon it's more likely that, much like the majority of current Chinese-made and sold ebikes, they would initially aim to get a foothold in the relatively-affordable commuter-style market rather than a high-end, relatively niche and low numbers, performance bike market like Marc's Zero. Also, Bangalore is pretty business and tech-savvy, not to mention connected to the rest of the world, so while it would be understandable that the majority of the local employees you saw on this video would not have seen a Zero in person before, I wouldn't be surprised if the engineers, founders and upper management of Ultraviolette will have done some market and engineering research to gain familiarity with Zero and other brands...even before starting the company in 2016. While Royal Enfield seem pretty autonomous with their ICE manufacturing, I wonder whether Ultraviolette would have the resources to make their own motors, batteries and controllers or if they would have to source them in China...did they give you any insight on that Marc?

Very cool episode! I love the comparison, but also appreciate that there are other companies getting into the electric motorcycle space. Zero has been around 15 years, so they've worked out some kinks. However, again it's nice to see there is innovation elsewhere. India can stand to benefit from transportation electrification for sure.
