Liam.. so happy you were graced with this time to spend with your grandpa.. My grandfather rode his bike 10 miles everyday until a month before he passed at age 92. I wish i had more memories of riding with him. "God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December." James M Barrie

I’ve cycled this route to Calgary from Vancouver and you captured it perfectly. Sunrises and sunsets and awesome drone shots, amazing to see the layout of land the stuff I can’t see when riding. Great simplicity, no $$$expensive touring bikes, stealth camping and family and friends support. I’d like to see the outtakes where grandpa swore on the tough parts! Keep rockin Liam I recommend riding the circle route Revelstoke to Nelson and back through Kaslo

Again - what an adventure - watched most of it this morning while riding in my basement. Some of the roads you took reminded me of my 1988 Vancouver to Calgary trip I did with my college buddy from Montreal. When I saw the sign for Springbank Golf Course (TC HAY - east of Canmore) - I told myself - they could have slept at Cathy's hobby farm and say hello to Nelson the Donkey... Can't wait to see the end - BTW your granpa is a rock star ;-)

I’m pretty sure I passed you guys just before Sicamous! I left from Calgary around the same time as you guys, so the timing would work out. I was on a blue Surly with red pnniers. If I hadn’t met you on a divided highway, I would’ve stopped and said hi! Those hills in the Canyon look tough, day after day. I turned off at Cache Creek climbed up onto the plateau past Clinton and headed North towards Bella Coola. I’m going to have to come back and finish the #1 sometime. Edit: there I am at 22:10. You guys made good time across BC, not many Grandpas can say they’ve crossed entire provinces under their own power.
