Den Hoorn is reached at 1:45. After that he continues on the road to Schipluiden. In the 1980s we had a couple of winters with good ice and I used to skate on the canal on the left after work, in the dark, first to Den Hoorn and then to Schipluiden and then back again. But in the weekends I’d make the round trip to Maasland and Vlaardingen.
