I found that cross country gloves worked well for me! .... only because I already owned a pair for XC :)

I just rode 20 miles each way of this trail last week from Ansonia to Iron Bridge! What a GORGEOUS trail, and had beautiful weather! Thanks for the memories!

Even with the rain a beautiful ride. Winter gloves and winter riding shoes so many choices. I use a shell mitten over a gortex mitten to start. When it gets warm I pull out the mittens and put on rag wool gloves under the shell. Then usually end up riding just in the shell. It's a homemade system. Just pulling out of what gear I have. Been riding down to about 10 degrees with it. Get some funny looks. Do like the looks of those poiges thou. Take care, Al

Awesome, thanks for the tips. Trying to find the perfect gloves. I have almost made the pogie purchase a few times, just seems to be a never ending list of bike stuff to buy, it gets annoying…and expensive.

Wind resistant mittens have always been the warmest for me, or cross country ski gloves, if you don't like mittens

I’m on the search, I’ll look into the ski gloves, thanks.

Tried the trail in 2021 but a large portion of it was closed (southern section). We couldn't get to Jersey Shore from the trail and the roads we were forced to take weren't particularly bike friendly.

Got some Peral Izumi AmFIB last year and they are good winter biking gloves. Full fingers too if you’re like me and don’t like those weird ass lobster gloves.
@TravelingThru222 Жыл бұрын
I can’t really hang with the lobster claw, but pearl Izumi seems to have more of the gloves I’ve been looking for. I have seen the amfib’s, looks like a serious glove.

We got a race in Upper Michigan called the Polar Roll every february. They do 15, 30, and 100 mile fatbike courses along Lake Superior if your into that kind of thing. No podiums or money. Just can a guy do it or not know what I mean? I think you could do it!
@TravelingThru222 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like my kinda trophy, strictly fat bikes, or do you think The Epic could hack it?
@thuggooch1776 Жыл бұрын
You would totally need a fabike. Narrow tires would just cut through the groomed trails. This year I attempted the EX30 course which was actually 37 miles and I got 29 down and pulled the plug. I ran out of battry for my headlight and I couldn't see myself coming down the mountain on snow trails without it.@@TravelingThru222

Anything Outdoor Research or I really like the glove brand Youngstown. I use them for work and fatbiking and both are great
