Nice!, something I'd like to do some day, but neither of my bikes have suitable tires by the looks of it

You do need thick tires to traverse sand (or snow). These were rental bikes specifically made for this terrain

I am imagining being on that ride, mashing jellyfish into the surf and sniffing aquazoonotic poop The world is weird, wonderful, and definitely unimagined. From here in landlocked Manitoba, it's like another planet to be biking with the ocean's waves crashing one on side and grey windswept dunes on the other. Looking at your hands on the bars, thanks for holding yourself upright for the camera's sake, must not have been too comfortable. Good video.

Nice camera angle! How do you mount your iPhone on your body? When I attach it to my steering wheel I get to much vibration.

Thanks for watching! I have a harness that holds the iPhone against my chest. The phone software removes most vibration, but if I were to mount it on my bike it would actually still have some high frequency vibration left in (see my video “trying to keep up with biker gang” in which I used a direct handlebar mount)
