That floating madness would've so much oil to run if it were every built. Also I still don't get why the Japanese Navy thought it would be a good idea to put torpedoes in a battleship/battlecruiser. Examples were the, Tosa-class, Amagi-class, and the Kii-class.

Yamato using AA shells on its guns was not really effective, they were actually used to make the pilots shake and hesitate under the stress of the Yamato's gun sounds and the shells flying near them which lowered their chances of hitting Yamato.

I love that the Yamato's 460mm Airburst shells were actually used in a video for once. Although I must say. The Yamato's story is really tragic. Yet heroic at the same time. It's final mission was suicide. Beach yourself and don't let them kill more of our people. With over 400 aircraft trying to sink her. The Empress of the seas stood no chance. She did far better than any other could have hoped to in the situation. Her final though, of home. If her sacrifice was enough.

Great video! Although I have one question: Why did the IJN Yamato not use her 6 inch (155mm) secondary guns. If I remember correctly, they were used as Dual Purpose guns, despite their slow ROF, terrible traverse speed and bad elevation. I really enjoy enjoyed the video, please make more!

If I were to take a geuss, the 18.1 inch would be replaced with missle launchers, the 6 inch would be replaced with 76 mm fast firing guns, the 5 inch would be replaced with SAMs and the other guns would be replaced with CIWS and the small deck on the back would be turned into a helipad
