Super Happy ako s recipes ng Panlasang Pinoy! Actually nkuha ko man o hindi ang tamang recipe sarap na sarap husband ko...Thank yu po talaga kc naiinspired nyo kami to be confident in cooking/baking....Our first time was considered many times na kc enjoy n kami nsasarapan p family namin...thank yu po Panlasang Pinoy!

I made this for one of our church activities...The Sisters in my church love it and became one of the favorite food that they like. I can't hardly wait to taste our food when I travel back to our country in a few months... Keep on making yummy food... Grateful for all your efforts in preparing them and sharing them not only to our country men but also to the ones that live outside the country...

Malaking Thank you talaga sa iyong blog and video. Dahil dito mga Pinoy food cravings ay nasa-satisfy around the globe :). Sa Bicol daw ay nilalagyan ng Pandan ang biko. So tanong ko po ay: Saan po ba ilalagay ang pandan leaves: a. Sa sinaing na malagkit b. sa nilulutong gata na coconut milk-sugar mixture. c. o pareho (malagkit na sinaing or nilulutong gata) Salamat and more power sa Panlasang Pinoy!!!

PLISKEN12, the texture and taste will be different when Jasmine rice is used. Since Jasmine rice is not that sticky compared to the sticky rice, you'll have a more champurado-like texture.

Mga nagcocomment nagrereklamo pa. Imbis na magpasalamat na meron ganitong videos na pinapakita para sa atin eh. I agree din naman sa mga sinasabi nila na sana sinabi niya na lang kagad yun exact measurements pero syempre may gusto din naman ipakita yun tagaluto sa webpage niya. Besides it's a good thing na rin na may website siya bukod sa mga videos niya dito sa youtube. Thank you sir : ) Maski papano nakakatulong yun mga videos niya lalo na pag me handaan. Lapit na naman ang Christmas. Yehey!

Is sticky rice the same thing as the glutinous rice that you use in some of your other recipes?

yup its your choice to place some toppings. I intended to present the simple version first then next time gawa naman ng ibang variation with toppings blueroxypinay :)

Kiwipinay , kukuha ka sa gata tas isalang mo sa kwali, keep mixing hnggang mamuo cia at magmantika, hinaan mo lng apoy mo pra d msunog! pg nging brown na ok na un!

Hi!Kuya favorite ng asawa ko tong biko,e2 pa lang kc nakakain nyang kakanin ng pinoy,kuya gus2 ko sanang gumawa kaso diko alam kung ilang cups ng rice ang ilalagay.Puede po bang malaman?Salamat po.....Hiz

@Hizelmaychie -na-try nyo na po ba? kasi na try ko po exactly same as what he did, okay naman po. masarap-sinerve ko sa south african kong kasamahan sa work and they love it, infact they asked for the ingredients and one of them tried to cook it and it realy taste good.-thanks

Wow, FINALLY!! I dont have to ask for the receipe. I LOVE to cook ALL kinds of foods. At our youth meeting one day, one of our filipino sister & her husband brought this dessert and OMG it was the bomb. It looked like they "slaved" over it. I have eaten before at another gathering but never had the courage to ask someone for the receipe because I always think "its a women thing" to never ask for another womens receipe..LOL. But Thank you for sharing on how to make it. God Bless!!

sinukmani ang tawag nito sa amin a laguna. iba pa ang biko. halos pareho rin pero may topping yun na ginawa ring syrup at inooven... pero masarap itong kaulam ng pansit...

ittry ko po ito may question lng po ako kasi sabi po dun sa website is 4 cups of coconut milk for cups po ba lahat ung nilagay nyo para sa two cups na cooked sticky rice? hindi po ba 1:1 cya? one cup rice-one cup coconut milk?????? really need your help po thank you and please make more easy to follow recipes:) #proudtobepinoy :)

Try niyo PO biko with yema on top...so yummy ..instead of brown sugar Ang gagamitin..use white sugar..

ang biko ay may latik ang tawag sa tawag sa luto bo ang bibingka, ang pagkakaiba lang ay dapat ang sugar topping sa itaas at broil sa oven

My dad used to make this but he called it calami. When I research it it's called biko but it's the same thing basically.

How would it turn out if you started by cooking the rice, coconut milk, and brown sugar all together in a rice pot at the same time instead of cooking the rice in water and then adding the other ingredients?

why not?? go ahead! and try it...and let us know!! sounds like a short-cut, but could it work?? in fact, i want to learn how to make this myself! i grew up with this dessert but never thought of making it myself. then yesterday, it just dawned on me, on youtube, i could actually make this instead of buying and paying expensive price for a small spread of it on a small plastic container. it looks easy to make and it's one of my favorite dessert in this whole world, hehe! i never thought of making it before, because usually i would just buy it in a Filipino market here where i live in Southern Cali. Peace! :)

its gonna burn. What I did was cook the rice with coconut milk, water, and salt. When the rice is soft and fully cooked, I added the brown sugar. It turned out great!

How much rice is that? I was raised by a Filipina and she would cook this! It was amazing and I want to try making it, so if anyone knows how much rice that was, I'd appreciate it if someone helped me out :)
