I think, most of these people who have commented, have never practiced his yoga. Of course postures can be from the collection called Pitanjali, but his perfectly put them in a series. People should appreciate the ones who contribute to the society, and Bikram did that. Also, I am happy to see him getting financial success, from something he loved teaching.

So fucking what, the drones are defending him? I've known of Bikram for decades and when I started the yoga in 2003, they defended him to me. Thankfully, I never fell for the bullshit. Also, in the DC/NY area, at least 5 dedicated owners sold their studios. 2 were the ones I personally knew and the most in denial. Do yourself a favour and wake the fuck up!

In India there are places where you can learn yoga for almost free(briefly explained below) at many places then you can pick out some specific postures suitable for yourself and if you want to teach others you have to learn the meaning and put it to application for different cases. Just like a doctor. Almost free means that in ancient India there was a tradition of gurukuls where you learn different skills and arts but in return you can give a gurudakhshina(something in return for the knowledge acquired) that could be anything that you can afford to give even if it is the smallest amount of money you have known to have. Since there was no currency most of the students chose the path to practice and spread the knowledge they've aquired and keep it flowing to following generations to come!

yeah this is the code for healers all over the world they help you because they want to - and you give them a sincere offering . good faith ensures you dont destroy eachother by being domineering. same goes for TM its just full obnoxious to make it inaccessible to the people who need it the most. especially when you basically took most of it off your guru.

Bikram yoga was the gateway style that led me to Forrest yoga. Bikram yoga is very good, but the instructors recite Bikram's words like little parrots, and are short on information beyond that script. But I will continue to take a Bikram class from time to time because it feels so good. I just hope yoga studios open soon. :)

Yoga is ancient and deep rooted science from India. Having born and brought up in India I have seen a lot of true masters and few others who are in to make quick money. Yoga has a physical dimension(yogasana) and a spiritual dimension (meditation). The teacher or guru must practice and teach both forms. Yoga must always be learnt from spiritual yogic masters and the knowledge is free. Strangely, this person has put his own name ahead of the word Yoga. This is purely appears to be a commercial setup.....and at the core of it this stems from greed....and ends at greed. People be wise in choosing your teachers.

Yoga and money do not go hand in hand. Yoga is spirituality not simple gym in a steamed room. First of all there's no consciousness in what this guy does. Do you spend a minute to realize the state of spirit that comes after an asana when you finish it? No. Is your mind focus on something while you are doing an asana? No. It wonders with no direction. Do you become aware of the flux of energy flowing thru your body? No. Do you understand and know what your spirit is and how does manifests itself? No. Are you trying to know and develop yourself, to know God? No. Are you developing an emotional intelligence, detachment, pure love, compassion? No. Do you involve studying, devotion, meditation, focus, perseverance, renunciation? No. Have you discover yourself yet? But God? ... Are you practicing simple gym postures? Yes. So you should not call it Yoga. Please be kind and call your urge for sex, money and women Bikram Gym. As it is. A yogi does no swear, take drugs and assault students. Go in India and try to foolish them with this circus. Of course you wont do it.

It’s not about this guy though, it’s about the yoga. Doing the yoga doesn’t have to have anything to do with this guy. I’m grateful for this yoga in my life. It could be called Ghosh yoga because that’s who taught Bikram yoga. Bikram was the one who popularized it in the west. It’s one of the best things you scan do for your health and body and it shouldn’t have to be disregarded because a person affiliated with it is an alleged criminal. I for one still just avoid the business’ that use his name, seems unnecessary at this point.

Challenge with Yoga is, if not careful, it promotes self! Where as Christ promotes selflessness. Bikram embodies the full expression of yoga (selfishness, all about the “I”) There are amazing health benefits to Bikram but it must be weighted in Christ or else you just become egocentric
