This comments section is golden. If you're listening to this, you have an impeccable taste in music. My nostalgia is always attached to this song. Summer vacations and channel V and MTV used to play these songs. I was not too young and these songs have been hardwired deep in my brain since then. This song is like a portal to those simpler days. Much love from India.

What an Idea by Strings to portray Women Empowerment by their Music video, making an effort to bring change in the society. Still can't get enough of this gem. The use of the word "Chunariya" throughout the song represents Woman, what a thought, no doubt it's also written by a woman (Zehra Nigah) Ji. One of the rarest and finest.

I see how a lot of people here are complaining about the fact that we don't have pop acts like Euphoria, Strings or Bombay Vikings coming up anymore. I am also a 90's kid and I see that there is a sense of nostalgia that these songs bring with them as we remember the times when we used to be excited about buying their CDs or waiting to listen to them on MTV or Channel V. There are lot of good projects or acts today as well. Raghu Dixit, Local Train, When Chai Met Toast are making a niche for themselves but the fact that these are accessible at the simple click of a youtube link means that they will never be etched in the memories of the current growing generation. Or probably these memories will be overridden by the crap that Honey Singh and the Badshas are throwing at us .
