I still remember the day this song came out, I had stopped listening to the music due to hardships of life and was too busy working and supporting my family, I was only 20. this song came on TV while I was having dinner. It did something to me, as if it had awoken a dead person inside me. I started to listen to music again, still remember I used to take my walkman with me to work. It was so inspirational that later on I went ahead and record three of my own songs. Nothing special but just wanted to do something I couldn't before. I am in my 40s now and my phone has all these albums, never stopped listening since then. Good stuff!!!

Releasing songs to Indian audience doesn't mean shit. Has Pakistan ever thought about calling it a truce for good at the border? What about the governments of both the countries and their armies? Just because they released a song doesn't mean they wanted peace.

@@vipultripathi2300 And I didn't say that Strings was the answer to Indo-Pakistan conflict. But once upon a time, when they played for audiences of both countries, in those times, peace seemed much closer than today. I come from a Military family, no one knows more than I, who loses out the most on Pakistan's cavalier attitude. But such cultural interactions once seemed to work. Maybe not anymore, and I understand your reply, but we, being the ancient roots of the subcontinent, have to be the bigger people in all this

So many memories. Only 90's kid will understand. love this song. Edit: 22nd Feb 2021 4K likes. That's overwhelming. Guys, can't thank you enough for your love. And thanks to this beautiful song which has brought people of different cultures and ages together. It feels like this music has worked as a conduit for all of us to connect with each other, encouraged to share part of our lives. We all have certain memory with this song for some it could be a place, time or a person. I strongly believe that at times, music is like time-travel because of its ability to evoke unsolicited emotions. One day, you’re walking to class and you hear someone playing a song you once shared with someone you loved and suddenly your body freezes up. Why does this happen? Is it nostalgia? Bitterness? Longing? Idk. But, that feeling is so surreal. Anyway, keep listening to this beautiful song. Take care and peace ☮️❤️

The two best things about Strings is Faisal’s deep and expressive voice and Bilal’s resonating and bone chilling guitaring. Bilal is such a genius guitarist that not only his repetitions in a song are great but also the interlude guitaring he does is mind blowing. In this song his guitaring and Faisal’s voice literally create a mood of longing and distance which matches the title Duur. Amazing band ❤️👌👍🏻❤️

Life is all about this.. We the people who are reacting on this song were so busy in our life.. Running for our good future never looked back... some touched the greatest height in their life but I am sure after listening this you will fall down like a rolling ball. Those were the days when we really lived.. now we aren't living we are just spending our days with this modern society...

Heard of Strings so much, came here to hear one of the popular ones from the band. Getting those late 90's , early 2000's vibes which I love the most. Thinking of that time, makes me emotional. Unfortunately havent heard this before but can relate to the emotions rolling on in the comment section. Band songs during those days are real gems whose worth is being understood these days. Pure beauty, talent, melody. Cant help but makes us so nostalgic. Quite ahead of their time, have made such masterstokes. Loved it. STRINGS will be missed.
