+Wesley Harcourt lol. it isnt much. its actually a funny story. i went to a construction institute and i kind of got put there at random learning hvac. when i appologised to my teacher for not being very interested he agreed to pass me if i built something in the shop that worked when built so i built a boiler out of copper tubing lying around the shop :) and he passed me lol

If that was mine, I'd put a jump seat right about where your toolbox was and just stare at that engine working. Beautiful machinery!

Very impressive, is that a stainless steel boiler?
@WesleyHarcourtSTEAMandMORE8 жыл бұрын
HistoricSteamTV- Thank you! No, it's a boiler built with ASME required grades of carbon steel. The casing is steel painted with silver paint.

Would love to hear that nice whistle.
@WesleyHarcourtSTEAMandMORE8 жыл бұрын
The bell was a bit out of adjustment at the time of the video and was embarrassing to hear. We worked on getting it closer without annoying the neighbors... It sounds MUCH better now... The whistle was made by our friend Bruce Heppler out of a brass artillery shell.

Ah I see that makes sense, I' thinking of making an artillery shell whistle myself, shouldn't be to hard

The safety glass around the crank area is probably a really good idea, but it really hurts the aesthetic doesn't it?

@WesleyHarcourtSTEAMandMORE7 жыл бұрын
tandem compound we'd like to but the marinas want your first born child, and your first born's first born, for the monthly dock fee. We'll be keeping her in the California Delta.
