Thank you for preserving this. It's my absolute favorite version of this song and I'm so sad he disappeared.

Love this! My guitar teacher recommended that I check you out, Fret Killer. You rock!

Dear Mr Killr or can I call you Fret. I am a beginner and the road from me to you is long. Your style of play is very attractive and makes the road a journey worth taking.

This guy is insane! Puts his own spin on every song and most of them sound better than the original recordings (for me at least). Does he play live shows anywhere? Does anyone know who he really is?

Something about Fretkillr's guitar playing that's really special. I think maybe he's my favorite guitarist of all time. It's not that he's the greatest technically, it's more the command he has, strong fingers or something like that, maybe having to do with the fact that he taught himself how to play. I keep coming back to these videos when I need to hear some real music. I can't understand how anyone can play good cross harp and guitar at the same time. It would seem to me that you'd have to be holding the harmonica in your hands to control it, especially when bending the notes. I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of any proficient harmonica players as to whether it's possible.
@woogieman0079 жыл бұрын
+willyleeman Fret is a genius he is one of the best harmonica players out there and I think if he was not playing guitar at the same time he would have more control over tone, the way he plays harp while it being on a neck clip is amazing skill wise it's not easy! You can do more technique with your hands sure but when you got nothing apart from your mouth to play harmonica it's a case of you ether have it or you don't and he tops the chart.

It's that he stays in what musicians call 'the pocket'. Everything he plays is first and foremost in service to the groove. He isn't trying to squeeze in pointless solos or stunt-guitar licks. He's focusing intently on executing the song, right... and he's goddamn good at it. No, he can't sweep pick arpeggios like (insert guitar hero name here) but he can absolutely crush a song. What you're seeing here- the thing that's 'special'- is called musicianship. Some people are born with it, some develop it over many years but not everyone who picks up an instrument is guaranteed to achieve it. His greatness isn't technique. His greatness is as a musician.

@@muhears7732 I agree. It's feeling combined with technique. Is that really a Yamaha? And it should be "four BIT room" not that any of us care./
