I love when these guys ask him real football questions. He will talk forever and really break things down and show his true genius. He ain't about the drama. Pure football guy he is. Can listen to him all day.

He will talk forever cause he's a coach -a teacher .Dennis leary said on rich eisen show that bellicheck would just sit like a kid on the set and ask what everything was.

So great watching Bill give this explanation and breakdown. Quite refreshing coming from a Bears fan when Coach Matt Nagy constantly talks about the "whys" after losses but never has answers.

I am not a Patriots fan, but I really do like when Bill explains the art or history of a certain aspect or technique in the NFL

And it's very clear that he enjoys what he does for a living. Same with Brady. That's why that relationship florished for over 20 years. I hope everybody can find something that they are passionate about. If you enjoy what you do then it's not work.

I would rather have solid tackling technique . I see so many DBs going for the strip while the WR gets another 5 yards..

Ask why he likes the two tight end set so much?
@rileyswaim90153 жыл бұрын
So the defense stays out of nickel package and he can create mismatches with receiving backs and tight ends. He talked about it after the pats rams super bowl trying to keep the rams base on the field
@1EVILZ063 жыл бұрын
@@rileyswaim9015 Wouldn’t you just run a good 4-3 defense package against the two tight end set?
@deontewells75672 жыл бұрын
@@1EVILZ06 yes and no. Most LB’s can’t really cover a lot of ground and cover the TE’s. Sometimes can use your safety to do it or your corners. But to disrupt them you should chip the TE’s in the pass game in the run game it’s possible to give it a fighting chance with 4 Down lineman and 3 LB’s right there to stop it personally I’d Bring one of them down.
@1EVILZ062 жыл бұрын
@@deontewells7567 I see what you’re saying. You could pull your corners up. I’d probably like to run a cover two with two deep safeties and let everyone else go man. But my think with the 4-3 you had the middle of field covered to keep the tight ends honest. And not give up a play across the middle.

It wasn't dumb. Because Bill was famously tight-lipped, reporters had to devise Sherlockian level questions to get him to open up and give you nuggets of truth for your stories. That's what Phil Perry was doing here.
