Belichick just wants to go to a team with a good QB, because he found out once Brady was gone that he can't win without a quality QB. He can make a defense work, but without an offense you're only half a team. And there are no QBs available for him in the draft or trade block, so he has to have a QB and will go to a team with a great young QB. Without a QB, he's just a great defensive coordinator.

it pains me to agree with Florio, and I really would never have considered the move for the Boys to get Belichick because I think his gruff style is hard for today's players to accept. I think Parcells when he came to the Cowboys...just a little long in the tooth and oil and water for that team. But, if McCarthy doesn't have a good run, and it comes down to mismanagement of the clock, timeouts and strategic missed opportunities, Belichick does make sense. He might have a mutiny from players, but I think the players would have to buy in out of respect...and Bill would get his chance to take a new franchise to the promised land a la Brady with the Bucs. These Cowboys are a now or never team.

@mattchew642610 ай бұрын
@@charlie-obrien The Chargers are the most iffy franchise on my list, as far as having an ownership that is questionable. The Spanos family treats the Chargers like a playpen, and they've turned it into a complete mess. The other franchises just need someone to steer the ship in the right direction. Honestly, I think that the Bucs have the ideal situation for Bill to step in and hit the ground running. I don't think that he's looking to spend forever with the franchise, he just wants to break Shula's record and then ride off into the sunset. That means around 3-4 seasons, and he's out...

I think Bellichick is a great coach, but Brady was the biggest reason why they were able to win all the time. When a team has to replace a long-time great quarterback, like Rodgers or Brady or Montana, or Aikman, the hunt is on for a great quarterback and the search usually lasts a very long time. There are literally only a handful of great quarterbacks at any given time and the rest are mediocre. Winning the Super Bowl with a mediocre quarterback is nearly impossible.
@Oklahoma-Dreaming10 ай бұрын
I’m not convinced that Bill Bellichick is “the best coach of all time.” I think my vote would be for Don Shula. Shula won a Super Bowl or two early on and he used mostly a running game in Miami. I remember distinctly Larry Csonka running roughshod over my Vikings at the time although I haven’t been a Vikings fan for over a decade now. It’s the first game I remember watching live. But I think Shula was the coach of the Colts too but that was before my time. But then with Marino, Shula went with mostly a passing game and he took the Dolphins to I think two more Super Bowls in the early 80s, one with Dan and one with Woodley? But Shula showed real flexibility with the players he had and he changed his strategy based upon talent. Bellichick, on the other hand, requires his players to conform to him.
