it's subjective, but no doubt Carroll ( have a beer with)....likable, engaging personality, outgoing....Belichick would be tough, on surface (seemingly standoffish, reserved, keeps to himself is the general perception of him)...but, from those who know him well, he has a good sense of humor and really a good heart...Saban seems somewhere in middle of Carroll/Belichick, personality-wise, but he, like Beli, would be a fascinating visit because of all they accomplished.

Seton is one of those guys who takes the path of least resistance. Certainly nothing to learn from not immediately starting right?
@freshtendrills596910 ай бұрын
Exactly. He's like the embodiment of everything I hate about modern America. I wonder if Derrick Henry learned from trying to bail after his first year of not starting at Alabama? Or if Jalen Hurts grew as a man whilst sitting on the bench in 2019. Or the countless other kids that wanted to leave because they weren't playing immediately, only to strengthen themselves through perseverance. Delayed gratification is lost on guys like seton. It's a sickness that has leaked and seeped it's way in to every facet of our lives. Quitters. Losers, and Whiners. Look at FSU this year... Laying down on national TV. College football hasn't gotten better because of "power to the players".

College football will need the equivalent of NFL GMs going forward. Someone who deals with signing contracts with players. This way head coaches can focus more on football related activities instead of the business/recruiting side of things

Landscape change. Step one was one-and-done. Step two: Transfer portal: Three, NIL aka rent-a-player and recruiting the roster again. Many coaches will continue to bitter and retire or get fired, others will adapt.

BB goes all these years to finally choose a draft pick which could be a generational talent, and they let him go. Not to mention we the faithful Pats/BB fans patiently waiting for his once in 2 decade decision,. I really hope they screw themselves on this draft pick, so at least his legacy contains an "I told you so". Just as an fyi, this is coming from a Pats fan that goes back well over 55 years and the Fenway Park era. Back to the AFL Boston Patriots days of Clive Rush, Jim Plunkett, Daryl Stingley(God rest his soul). For me at least, this is the saddest day in Patriots history.

The absolute stupidest slogan by a intellectually limited phony bandwagon fanbase..what is it: is the team a tide or an elephant? And what does one have to do with the other? Most corrupt unethical collegiate football program ever, and it got where dicky nicky could only cheat so much..so he picked up his toys and went home..I will shed not one tear for these phonies and have not one drop of respect for him, the phony bandwagon fans and the entire corrupt program..good riddance

NIL and transfer is unrealistic self-control; it encourages caprice and selfishness. The zillion opt-outs during the 2023 bowl games was proof of that. If the players want professional money, then they should assume professional responsibility. That means contracts, fines, benching, firing for misconduct and non-renewal for poor performances. Structure their scholarships with performance incentives. Adult pay means adult burdens, not adult pay and the burden of a child. (Nevermind many D-1 football players were getting anywhere from 100K-250K in four years in tuition and board. They were already being paid, so nah…I’m good on the “the poor kids” point.)

Reggie Bush left the chat 😅... true, some where being paid.. and a lot were being penalized for it.

College football is a business bozo and has always been that no matter how you slice it. Even the mafia wanted a piece of that action as they were involved with some of the college football players in the early to late 80s etc. The NCAA and the schools profit off the students hard labor. Whatever they are compensated for aka “tuition” “room and board” pales in comparison to the revenue generated. It seems like the elites want to gatekeep and exploit the kids for free labor all under the disguise of “scholarship” 😂😂😂😂😂. Without the players performance on the football field, Nick Saban WOULD NOT make $9 million per in any other industry. He is the highest paid employee in that state. So stop your crying. And by the way Bowl game Opt outs is nothing new. I recall the Bosa brothers sitting out and facing a lot of backlash. I recall Jaedevan Clowney sitting out and facing backlash. There are a plethora of college players who sat out meaningless bowl games. Besides none of those players will ever see a dime of the revenue generated from the bowl games.
@jqpublic163010 ай бұрын
To the “bozo” commentator. One question: McDonald’s corporation is a business too and makes billions annually. Does the drive-thru worker make an equal part of the profit? Isn’t the CFO only making millions because of that person and others like that? Yea, it’s a business, not a socialist commune. Keep playing. You’ll get there.
@ssminowjohnson968710 ай бұрын
College football is supposed to be an “amateur sport” yet they have TV deals to generate revenue so the elites can profit off free labor. Yeah that totally makes sense.🙄. I’m asking you would Saban make $9 million a year without football and the performances from the student athletes ? Keep lying to yourself.

My response, tom brady was more responsible for those championship, bellichik is good, like wade phillips, or mike holmgren. They were good coaches, some won one or two, got to 1 or 2. Bellichik was good, just like them, may winning 1 or 2, and go to 1 or 2, or lime Phillips never win any. With Tom, he won much more and got to much more.
