Belichick's defenses were OVERRATED. A "ridiculous" defense does NOT require the QB to put on his Michael Jordan jersey and come up super clutch with THREE GAME WINNING DRIVES IN ALL 3 Super Bowls between 2001 - 2004. Brady put up 350+ Yards and 3+ Tds vs a top 10 Carolina defense in 2003; Brady put up a 110+ Passer Rating in the 2004 Super Bowl vs a top 5 defense in the Philadelphia Eagles. EVEN IN 2001, the most important game was the TUCK RULE game and Oakland was arguably the best team in the NFL (alongside the Rams), and Brady put up 300+ Passing Yards in a BLIZZARD, outplaying League MVP Rich Gannon. If Belichick's defenses were SO GOOD, then why did Brady put up MORE GAME WINNING DRIVES IN THE PLAYOFFS between 2001 and 2006 than Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers accrued in their ENTIRE PLAYOFF CAREERS COMBINED....COMBINED. Brady MADE Belichick. Without Brady he's a MEDIOCRE (at best) coach. If Brady does NOT start in 2001 he gets FIRED. He was GARBAGE in Cleveland - overrated as a D-C for the Giants because he had LT, Banks and Carson, three HOFers on defense - with 4 losing seasons in 5 seasons. In NE he went 5-13 with Bledsoe. Look at Frank Reich! Fired in back to back seasons. Belichick was on the VERGE of getting fired in 2001, FACT. 2008/2009 Brady tears his ACL and Belichick with a STACKED team MISSED the playoffs. NO EXCUSES. Post Brady, they are TRASH: 3 LOSING seasons in 4 years. He SUCKS WITHOUT BRADY. FACT. First THREE Super Bowls were NOT WON ON DEFENSE. Brady needed to summon THREE game-winning drives in his first three super bowls for them to win. Brady put up MORE GAME WINNING DRIVES before 2006 in the playoffs than Manning and Rogers have done COMBINED in their ENTIRE CAREERS. Let that sink in ANYTIME you think "Belichick was more responsible for the early dynasty." LIES. Brady has the HIGHEST PPG of any QB in NFL history at 28ppg. Without Brady, he averages 17 ppg. Brady won with Arians. He proved he didnt NEED Bill. Bill has NEVER PROVEN he can do ANYTHING without Brady. ZERO division titles in 11 seasons without Brady, 1 playoff win, 81- 99 without Brady. Brady MADE Bill. Brady wins 8 rings with Tomlin. Tomlin wouldn't have allowed the helmet catch (and the zero blitz on Eli in the redzone) nor BENCHED Malcolm Butler in the Eagles super bowl, costing us two rings.

Alex Smith was speaking straight facts with what he said on Sunday. The Patriots (Belichick and Brady) benefitted from a weak division for so long now Belichick is getting exposed as a head coach and GM of the team. It's definitely time for him to leave New England it'll be the best for both Belichick and the organization
@brandonchurch198310 ай бұрын
Until you further your investigation and realize Tom Brady has a higher win percentage in the playoffs than it does in his own division. Oopsie try again! I'm not saying the division was not weak but he won no matter what. His division opponents had a better win percentage against him then the playoff teams that he faced look it up
@brandonchurch198310 ай бұрын
So what does that tell you he played in the weakest division like you said but that division has a better win percentage than him in the playoffs? Open mouth insert foot!

@@Alex-sf9bo Not taking that away from him however if you remember the season where the Bengals and Colts rested their starters to put the jets in the playoffs or else they would have finished 7-9 that year. I truly believe if the colts and Bengals were playing for something and he finished 7-9 they would have tuned him out a lot earlier for the buffoon he is and he would have been fired a lot sooner. The teams laying down brought him an 11-5 season the next year. Yes I don't take the playoff wins away from him. However, it is a one game playoff and anything can happen. Norv Turner won quite a few playoff games to does anyone talk about him being a good coach. Can't take the playoff wins away from him but I truly believe if he didn't back in the playoffs that one year when the teams layed down than he would have been fired and tuned out a lot earlier.

I'll just add this to the comment I just 'liked,' if Jacksonville is the best, then the Texans can't be too far behind b/c they waxed them earlier in the season and could have very well been 2-0 against them this year.
