This is exactly what I’ve been trying to point out for all those retroactively hating Opie. I’m with all of you about how he had no funny bone. But just remember while live on air, there weren’t too many “I hate Opie” clubs. When the fan calls and says the show is the View without Opie. I don’t agree, I love the real life talk, but the paying listeners were not on the Hate Train until after the blow up. Just an observation

I don't know why he stays there. He hates high taxes and cold weather, he'd be happier in Phoenix, Dallas, Tulsa or Little Rock. All those cities are big, have the kind of night life options Ant could want, and actual freedom.
