I live in Japan and there is this thing that happens to all foreigners called the "gaijin seat". When you sit down on the train, sometimes a Japanese person will just get up and move leaving the seat next to you empty... and no one else will sit down. Some people get bothered by this because it is straight up racist but they don't see the beauty of it: you get extra space on a crowded train. They made their life harder and my life easier because of their racism. It's great.

I hear this all the time, been in japan from ‘99 and haven’t experienced myself,,, wondering if it’s just some BS someone made up to feel oppressed or something 😂

Lmao I live in central Tokyo and never experienced or seen that happen in my 10 years of living here. I’ve seen plenty of loud or scary looking Japanese man and people would change seat. So yeah different experience I guess. People in the train don’t give a fuxk, got bigger things to worry about.

Good 4 her. I remember when I had an apartment in college having to admit I’ve never scrubbed the toilet (squirting the stuff, using the brush). And my roommates looked at me like I was an alien. I said, idk, I had a stay at home mom, it was always just done whole we were at school. We had chores, dishes, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, in summer she would ask us to do windows, but the bathrooms were never on the list. So when I called her to tell her how ill prepared I was….she said, I was home all day, what was I going to do if I had you kids doing everything? I will say this….she cooked every day. We never ate out.

Difficult job, but not the hardest. A job is hard when you hate to do it. Raising your children should be an amazing adventure because you love them.
@tisbutascratch2045 Жыл бұрын
Actually, that's untrue. Giving birth in any other time rather than now would be an inevitable death sentence for every 1 in 3 women, and women had to do it over and over again, which, just on its own, makes it one of the most difficult things on this planet, and is still a reality for women around the world. Women still die from a multitude of birth complications, many of which happen even after the birth occurs, like infection, bleeding out, internal bleeding etc. Not to mention the fact that child mortality rates without modern medicine are also astronomically high, so you could birth that child and care for it, financially support it and bond with it only for it to die from the ages from birth to 7 years old, and you'd just have to deal with the emotional burden of that, which for mothers, never goes away. Then you get into the countless hours of having to be sleep deprived, waking up with your new born multiple times a night (and even more if your child has a fever or colic) leaving the mother highly likely to develop postpartum depression, which again, can be deadly for the child and mother. Then you raise your child, teach it, and have to be by its side every step of the way until the child is at least 18 and help it financially and emotionally until you die, with many bumps along the way... Yeah... that doesn't sound less hard than any other job I've seen... It just looks cute and sweet because of the modern era we live in, but for all of human history before the last 100 years, motherhood was, in some places still is, one of the hardest jobs in the world.

@@tisbutascratch2045 How about this: Being a mother is definitely hard, but it's not the hardest. Try being an oil rigger, electrician, construction worker, a coal miner, or heck even having to be in war! Those jobs also put you at a high risk of death or injury. Not to mention that you have to do these jobs very carefully, one small accident and many things could go wrong. Yes I agree being a mother is a very hard and stressful job, but it's definitely not the hardest and I think y'all just try too hard to overexaggerate it.
