Also the movie "Convoy" (1978) starring Kris Kristofferson. It was about a truck driver who then gets political about the treatment of fellow truckers. There were some scantily-clad women in the movie, hitchhiking, wearing tight tanktops and daisy duke short shorts. I think he or fellow truckers boned a few of them in their cabs as "payment" for giving them a ride. Throw in the obligatory truck roadstop diner scenes and bar brawls for good effect.
@overthewebb2 жыл бұрын
It was not a reference of that at all, It was a reference to the Eastwood movie Any which way but loose, which was mentioned by Daymen. As for the women, then Cannon Ball Run

Hey Jai and Half, Man I love watching your videos, they're always up lifting. Both of your laughs warm me from inside. Half, When you did the firework explosion arms move, I thought for a second you were practising your RuPaul Moves...AGAIN! Didn't we talk about that already? 😆😂 WOW I didn't know about this with Coco Chanel. Just looked it up online and found this: "This case describes the career of the iconic French fashion designer Coco Chanel who created a transformational business during the first half of the 20th century. Beginning in her early adulthood, Chanel leveraged relationships with acquaintances, friends, and romantic partners to build her fashion business and legendary luxury brand based on understated elegance. Chanel’s famous “little black dress” was accompanied by many other innovations including the use of jersey as material for daytime clothing and her development of the Chanel No. 5 perfume. The case pays close attention to the importance of Chanel’s networks among the cultural elite and European high society. It explores how she embraced the rise of Anti-Semitism among many members of the upper class at that time. During World War II, Chanel lived in the Ritz Hotel in Paris in occupied France, where she entered into a romantic relationship with a high-ranking German intelligence officer. Subsequently, Chanel herself became an intelligence operative for the Nazis. The case ends with Chanel in Switzerland in 1945 after she departed France following the Liberation of Paris by Allied forces. This case can be used to explore multiple issues including creating and building an iconic fashion brand, entrepreneurship, and ethical responsibility of business." I see other quotes on this thread and it appears she was racist against Jewish people. Truth is, many people were racist, just as many people are racist now. The only good thing is that there were also many people during the war that pretended to be racist out of fear of the Hitler and the nazi soldiers. They did that to stay alive and keep their families alive. Then after the war went back to rebuilding and moving on. During the whole time they never truly were nazi's, they just played the nazi's. Half And Jai, Thanks for the laughs and great videos. Years ago when I started performing Stand Up Comedy I got to see Bill live and my lungs were sore for 4 days afterwards from laughing. I learned a lot from watching his show and his style and material is very unique in presentation to Bill. I've always been a huge George Carlin fan and Bill is very much like Carlin, but doesn't mimic Carlin, which I truly appreciate. Love Out to Ya Both, Keep Safe and Always Inspiring, Matt - Toronto, Canada

In 1939, at the beginning of World War II, Chanel closed her shops, maintaining her apartment situated above the couture house at 31 Rue de Cambon. She said that it was not a time for fashion as a result of her action, 4,000 female employees lost their jobs. Her biographer Hal Vaughan suggests that Chanel used the outbreak of war as an opportunity to retaliate against those workers who had struck for higher wages and shorter work hours in the French general labor strike of 1936. In closing her couture house, Chanel made a definitive statement of her political views. Her dislike of Jews, reportedly sharpened by her association with society elites, had solidified her beliefs. She shared with many of her circle a conviction that Jews were a threat to Europe because of the Bolshevik government in the Soviet Union. During the German occupation, Chanel resided at the Hotel Ritz. It was noteworthy as the preferred place of residence for upper-echelon German military staff. During this time, she had a romantic liaison with Baron Hans Günther von Dincklage, a German aristocrat and member of Dincklage noble family. He served as diplomat in Paris and was a former Prussian Army officer and attorney general who had been an operative in military intelligence since 1920 who eased her arrangements at the Ritz. (From Wkipedia)

The "truck driver with a monkey" reference from comedy films is "Every Which Way but Loose," and its sequel, "Any Which Way You Can," starring Clint Eastwood as a truck driver named Philo Beddoe, who side-hustles as a bare-knuckle brawler. He has a pet orangutan, named Clyde, who travels with him. Pretty funny films, especially considering this was the height of Eastwood's fame as Dirty Harry, so comedies isn't what anyone would have expected of him. But the films turned out to be among his most popular, AND highest grossing - they made a LOT of money for the time.

Like the person is a whole different person and doing great for the community and is a dope and great man now but some feminists or troll warrior or just plain loser with nothing to do will find something they did or said more then 10 years back they bring it up and their career is over just like that. Even if they said sorry and the person they said it about they are kool now but since it hurt that other persons feelings it has to be a huge ass thing for some dumb ass reason. Which is why I hope karma bites them in the ass 10x’s worse later on.
