Bill is right about almost everything he talks about. It is really entertaining when you go off on a RANT. At least you get it not like most women out there. The fact that women are just brutal with each other just says it all. No team work it is like Bill said who can better the other. Try teamwork ladies instead of trying to screw each other over. I can't get enough of Bill Burr and Carlin. I love their cynical, grumpy old man style of comedy. You're completely right about womens sports. They don't earn the same money because they don't generate the same revenue. Not by a longshot. It really is as simple as that. Male models make way less money than women for the same reason.

In fairness to the US Women’s team, they are the ones that produce stars, as evidenced by Nike naming a building after US women’s legend Mia Hamm but nobody knows anybody ever thar played in the men’s national team, so I can kind of see where the women’s players are coming from. Strictly from who brings brand value and sells lunch boxes for US Soccer (the US FA) specifically, it’s not a crazy viewpoint - BUT Bill’s point obviously still stands.

I'm a guy that actually does enjoy watching women's football. I've not bought a ticket yet, because as far as I'm aware my town doesn't actually _have_ a female team yet. But I watch the women's matches on TV. From what I can tell it seems like they are finally figuring everything Bill Burr has said out and realised the truth. I've noticed recently women's football has gotten a _lot_ more traction and attention on sports shows, which has meant more ticket sales, which has meant more advertisers getting involved - and now they're even starting to show far more matches on the Sports channels on TV than they used to. And it's starting to snowball. Once you get the TV air time, you get more ticket sales, you get more advertisers and that feeds back to more air time and ticket/merch sales.... and all that leads to more cash flow to increase player wages! It's going to take some time, because of course it is - it always _was_ going to take time - but eventually as long as they keep up the progress women's football will be far more competitive with the mens side of things, in regards to revenue earnings and player wages. It took mens football a _long time_ to get to the point they're at today - women seem to convieniently forget this fact. Mens football is _old_ - well over 100 years old (1863 is when it became the football we recognize today). But it's changed enormously within that time period. Go back to the 90s or early 2000's and you'll see there was money still in the sport - but not the ridiculous numbers talked about today. The first player to be sold for £1 million was Giuseppe Savoldi and that happened in 1975.... 1863 to 1975 was _112 years_ that's how long it took the men to start getting close to the wages of today. Women's football will get there too one day. It will happen if they keep up the momentum. But as with all things, it takes time. Probably not 112 years, but it's still ridiculous to expect to be equal when women's football is still so young!

@hanng1242

I think watching women's golf is more interesting because the drive off the tee actually ends up on the fairway sometimes rather than the green or one of the bunkers around the green. One of the sports where women are watched more is gymnastics. I think it is because it includes more events that involve different skills. Men's gymnastics seem to all be upper body strength - rings, pommel horse, parallel bars. Only floor exrecise and vault involve something more. In contrast, women's gymnastics has events that test balance +flexibility (beam), upper body strength + coordination (uneven bars), along with floor exercise and vault. I suspect also that the grace required for gymnastics also flatters the female form more than the male as well. I bring this up because it explains why men's sports tend to be more interesting. Not only is there the physical advantages that help somebody perform objectively better (for example The US Women's Soccer team lost to a team of high school boys in a scrimmage), but also because (except for golf) men's sports tend to show a greater variety of athletic feats; just look at the types of plays in the NBA vs the WNBA, or the types of stokes in men's tennis vs women's tennis. I'm not sure which studies Burr read, but from what I understand, average IQ is the same, but the distribution is different. Men are more spread out along the bell curve - they will have more geniuses and morons; women tend to cluster around the mean.

College women's sports is popular now because people get involved. Parents, sisters, brothers, boyfriends, aunts, classmates, and community get involved. They care. Same thing with girls sports. When you get involved people care. If you don't care, no one shows up. That's nobody's fault except the people that fail to show up to games. Freezing cold or sweltering hit, sitting on lawn chairs, etcc.... Women are talented and great at sports, we know that. So the people complaining should show up for those women. Instead they'd rather whine on sport's show.

In the US, some of the women's university sports are actually watchable, and people do go to the games. Like Connecticut and Tennessee are probably more proud of their women's basketball than men's, and, what is it, Georgia and South Carolina for gymnastics? The fans will even go nuts, because there's a university tradition to go along with the sport, and that creates a good atmosphere. I'll take the kids to Florida State women's volleyball and buy them nachos. They'll never fill a 100,000 seat stadium like the football team does, but very few teams in the world can fill 100K seats; they can all pack a 10-20K gymnasium to the rafters though. You just have to offer a good product.

"Because you don't put bums in seats, that's it!" PREACH SISTER. It's so OBNOXIOUS dancing around the only fact that matters in this whole 'debate' for equal pay in sports or w/e. If you don't bring it in, the owners arent going to dish it out. It's very simple lmao. And look, no ones trying to take anything away from these female athletes. The hard truth is that the men just...just play the fuckin' games better. If you're a fan of any given sport, and want to see the very best that sport can offer - typically, you're gravitating towards guys. Women's hockey is all well in good - but it lacks the speed, the hitting, the fights, and the skill the men bring. And unfortunately that applies to most of sports (golf, tennis and volleyball imo are 1:1 for the most part and super fun to watch regardless of gender; olympics too, naturally). Just is what it is. The WNBA has an out to this if they'd stop being so stubborn. Lower the rim, learn to dunk, and then people might actually put their bums in a seat. Then, the NBA won't have to completely subsidize the entire league year after year, lmao.

6:35 - The reason even those do not is they do not want to admit how non-entertaining it is. Watching the WNBA for example is really rough. I find men's sport to be boring a lot of time and only exciting every so often when a really explosive play happens... but the truth is women's sports are just not nearly as explosive or technical so these moments almost never come. That said I agree, those people show claim to support it should ACTUALLY GO and support it. Stop complaining and blaming men for not being interested in it. EDIT: 11:40 -Exactly! Ha! That is exactly what I was saying above. They can do more which makes it entertaining.

This type of dynamic happens in a lot of different areas of life for some reason. It used to confuse me. Women are a majority of the population. Technically, they could get pretty much any outcome they want. As for professional sports though, they are a capitalist enterprise, and if you can't sell the product, you don't make the money. Many women simply have no interest in watching sports (I mean I'm a guy, and I don't either). Guys already have their leagues, they really don't need new ones. It's a product with very low demand.

14:35 What I need to know is do women have a concept of sportsmanship without holding grudge cuz that's a trait women are known for, as well as passive aggressive or having invisible war/battles with others, esp with other women. Women are supposed to be nice/caring but how much of that behavior from females today is actually even real???? If women are stereotypically nicer and kind, we don't need to suggest women to be friendlier or become friendlier in sports or in other TV, which means something must have changed, cuz women weren't like this before in the past, they were much more grounded, based, and open-minded like Georgia. There's this culture of hiding behind the mask that is far more prevalent in women and lying and being nice goes together for women today, esp those who are modern toxic women.

Facts 💯. I think the NBA should should stop paying for the WNBA and tell them to sell tickets. Also the only women's sports men will watch are tennis and golf and that's ONLY because they're sexy. 4:00 There are a few sports where women fill the stadions just lake the men (tennis for example) - and yep, these women do make as much money as the men do. It is so true that it simply comes down to how much revenue male create and how much revenue female athletes create. I'm all for female athletes getting the same payment when they bring in as much money - however in most cases they don't. In the USA the WNBA players demanded the same amount of payment. The WNBA generates about 60 million in revenue compare to the NBA generating more than 10 billion. In fact the WNBA generates not even enough money to cover the costs, they are subsidized by the NBA. And in most other sports it is just like that as well. It's sad but that's just the facts. 8:00 Yeah but a lot of the feminists who demand the same payment for the female athletes are interested in sports. But instead of supporting the women's teams they also watch the men's teams.

Being smarter doesn't mean you will be inclined to be more fair or base your decisions on the facts. People will act in their best interests. Right now, it's in many women's interest to blame men for their issues. Life is not fair or equal. Women have their strengths and weaknesses and so do men.

thats actually the one thing that is factually false in his bit. males and females are exactly the same when it comes to intelligence, they are both 100iq on average.

you seemed confused at the part where he states females are more intelligent, and you are spot on we are both exactly the same. 100iq on average.

Also, statistically, men are stronger faster and more competitive than women. There's like only 3 women of the 25 years the WNBA existed who have dunked the ball. In the NBA, there's a dunk literally every game. Although yes, it's about entertainment which causes them to not get as many tickets. It's also about skill level, and that women aren't into sports as much as men.

I'm not into ball sports, or athletic stuff like that at all, other than maybe parkour. I prefer motorsports. Your comment that men in sports get more attention, because we're stronger on average then women. Can do more with the same skill. That got me thinking. For similar reasons, I wonder if MotoGP and Formula 1, get way more attention then the weaker, smaller engine classes, like Moto3 and Formula 3?

I'll bet your husband will never get a word in. Maybe "Yes Dear". And you will have three daughters. He will love you though. I enjoy your rambles.

Your point about skill, well I hate to say it but mens leagues in any sport, is about skill AND ability. Men just have more.

A larger male audience for women's sports? Perhaps if these players were bikini-clad.

To answer your question (despite my non-English) no, there are no studies have proven that women are smarter, differences have been demonstrated in how the brain works but not concerned intelligence. Not to mention that there is a lot of debate among scientists about how IQ is determined, not everyone agrees with the method adopted (regardless of gender of course). It's a complicated, also because I should explain it in a language I don't speak, however, the topic can be explored online. 🍺

7:50 here’s the point , you don’t care about sport, but you can still name five nba players of all time, Michael Jordan koby Bryan labron James etc, but I am mildly into sports but I only know of one wnba player and not even remember her name, just know her as the idiot who got caught bringing drugs into another country
