Sorry for your loss friend, i am in your shoes at the moment. Better to have loved and lost, right. But the feeling of betraying/putting to sleep one's little fluffy baby, that's the mind effer of a lifetime, not much else will compare to this in pure heartache. No regrets though. I hope you heal well and in time will have another furry friend in your life.

budgiefriend Oh no! I’m so terribly sorry for your loss. Yes it is heartbreaking to have to do that to your fluffy babies, and it does feel like you are betraying them and that hurts so much even though you aren’t it still feels that way, but at least they leave here knowing how loved they are, and they go peacefully and are not suffering any longer. I hope to one day be able to find another companion for my little family. We will never have another dog like her, but we will have another to love on and my children grow up with. As of right now I can hardly stand the thought of getting another dog, but I am sure one day I will be ready. Just not yet. I will keep you in my thoughts, I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. I understand all the pain, and all the guilt you feel as I felt the exact same. Maybe in time you will be able to find a new fluffy friend to love and have a new addition to your family. May your beautiful fur baby RIP. I pray for healing for you. You are right it is better to have loved and lost. 💝

I watched Titanic as a kid. Honestly never knew it was considered anything other than a drama/thriller/horror type of movie with Romantic elements. Or atleast a Romance on the backdrop of the awful events. Who considers it just a straight up Romance? It's about a terrible event in History.

I'm a woman and I thought that movie was a horror film too. It haunted me and I couldn't watch it again for years. Mine was a different reason than Burrs but he has a point. For me it was the people smashing into shit on the way down, drowning, freezing to death in the water out in the middle of nowhere, at night, with almost no hope anyone's coming for you. And extremely cold water hurts. If you've ever swum in a real spring, you'll know what I mean. HOLY TITS that water is cold! And it would undoubtedly be quite a bit colder near the arctic where the Titanic sank. So for me it was empathy for the real passengers that made it a horror film for me.

When I me and my other half started getting serious, you know when weekends together is a guarantee and not optional anymore, I told her that she has all my days off 24/7 except during college football season, for those 6 months she will cease to exist on Saturday's from 12 noon to whatever time the last game ends. Especially when my team is playing. I won't answer her texts or acknowledge her existence during those 3 hours. She accepted this, however to make it up for her. Bye week Saturday is "extra special GF day" where I do whatever she wants to do. I dread those days..... but it works.
