My dad lived with us for twelve years before my mom found the courage to kick him out. We never had any conversations, he was a stranger in the house I’d whisper in front of. He sobered up when he got kicked out and then had a heart attack and died at 39 due to years of abuse on his heart. We never had the chance to connect. Like Em, I went through years of getting my ass kicked daily for being the skinny white boy in the inner city school. My life is stable now but you have no idea how much y’all’s videos help. I had to type this out on this song because the content of the song and Lems story really got me. More male role models need to preach love like you guys. Much respect.

@cuzinist64994 жыл бұрын
Prometheus “EmInEm hAs No CoNtEnT” Content is a form of art in hip hop where it’s of substance and people can relate to it and seeing all of these discussions in the comments under each reaction channel over this song, that’s all I see is people sharing their personal experiences and I just find a lot of beauty in that and that in itself is art. Haters just can’t comprehend it. My dad was found with another female the night I was born. I’ve only seen him 3-4 times in my life and I’m only 19 about to be 20. He’s tried reaching out but to me, it’s more of “why now like why reach out now when you could’ve been there this whole time” and I can really resonate with this song and although my dad isn’t dead, I feel like there’s no much disconnect for me to really shed a tear when he does pass.

Also with toy soldiers-the little plastic green ones, when you played soldiers and killed them or when you were done playing, you left them scattered around lying on their backs

The toy soldiers in his old vid actually moved cause if "windup" feature that was on their back!

Another reason I relate to Em so much and i guess people would call me a Stan but the truth is, my father was never in my life. I still have yet to get to know my dad at 28 yrs old. Respect. Life is crazy.

This is the best possible breakdown and reaction for this track!! Many other reaction channel just doesn't give it a proper listening!! This was truly amazing and beautiful, thank you!! ❤️ And btw, yes I remember that Lem said on one of your Em videos that he had an idea to write a song and name it "Thank you dad"!!

11 words into the intro, “That’s a bar already!” These reactions are the best start to finish. This is one of the group of tracks on MTBMB that are deep and really relatable to for so many fans. You guys speaking on your own experiences made this reaction even better. Keep them reactions coming!

Thanks for sharing your story Lem and I pray for your healing. It made me choke up. That's the beauty of Em's music, he makes us think, reflect, feel deeply, laugh and love.

The denaun/bag of chips bit was a double entendre. "It'd be alright if we split, we'd do backward flips..." It would be ok if we split a bag of chips, but the backward flips part also shows that they would be street performers just for a bite to eat.

“Call them a toy soldier cause they just wind up on their back” I didn’t think about wind up toy I thought about it as the lil green soldiers that never stood up on their own they would just fall over, both analogies though damn

"My God, what a heart of a demon, go at 'em(adam) and I'ma get even(Eve and) like I'm in the Garden of Eden" Beast way of saying hes gonna go at them like the devil did to God when he was kicked from heaven it changed the world and like a disease its still destroying/effecting us lifetimes later.

My grandma, celebrated my 12th birthday in El Salvador with a mariachi band. My dad showed up, never saw him before that time, he took me out for a milk shake on that day, took me to his crib , dropped me off back at my grandma's and never saw him again, even when I search for him when I go back to El Salvador. Now that my grandma has passed away. I'll probably never see him again.

End of the second verse: "Go at 'em (Adam) and I'mma get even (Eve) like I'm in the Garden of Eden". Then he talks about going off of the deep end and evil calling. You know the story, Adam and Eve, the fruit, the serpent...

This channel is one of my favourite subscriptions on KZbin. It’s a different level of analysis. I usually catch 80/90% of bars but you guys always help me with that extra 10/20%, and to catch bars that I didn’t catch before, like that legacy/leg I see bar for example - I missed that before. Because of that, whenever I listen to a track after you guys have broken it down, I get even more out of it than I was getting before. That was some real shit too, how Lem related to that stuff about Em’s father. Yet again, it’s a level of analysis and introspection that I haven’t seen elsewhere, and now my experience of listening to this song going forward will be all the more enjoyable for having seen this video. Peace and love from the UK dudes, I hope you both keep becoming more and more successful ✌️

Damn I can't stop my eyes from leakin on this one. I don't usually comment, but this shit hit home with me too. I lost my "dad" (stepfather) when I was 12 yrs old to an overdose. My mom was an addict too, lost her at 25 to addiction. I followed their path and went down a dark ass road. Not weed, that's medicine for some, Really dark if ya follow. Used first IV at 15. Got sent to prison at 18, met my real pops when I got out and all I could see was the story my mom told about him breaking her arm and kicking her in the stomach while she was preggo with me.. I went to his funeral a few years ago and I felt terrible that there were no feelings of grief. I had my son at 23 and my daughter at 24. I promised that I would never dip on them. Still had trouble staying outta trouble and off dope. Still remained a part of their lives through everything, always kept it 100 with em about the fact that they probably was born with addiction issues, so leave that shit alone!! I Always showed up and I always had time to talk. I finally got clean at 38, my kids turned out to be AMAZING humans!! My son is now 26 and just had a new set of twins and my daughter has a 2yo who is awesome. My kids are both considerate of other people, and just have really good philosophies on life, that's all you can ask outta life, that your kids turn out to be good peoples.. The cycle can be broken.

”A God but a heart of a demon, go at 'em and I'ma get even Like I'm in the Garden of Eden, I'm 'bout to go off of the deep end” When he says go at em it sounds like he’s says ADAM and then he says ima get even which could be EVE cuz he also mentions the garden of Eden... as in the Bible story
