Part of it is knowing how they can hurt the other person, but another part is knowing that no matter what, they're going to be cast as the bad guy in the situation if they hit back, even if she started it. Best example of this is the infamous 'how can she slap' video from a few years back. A woman and a man are arguing on, I think, a game show(?), she gets in his face, he just replies something snarky and smug back, so she slaps him. And he slaps her right back. Not a punch; just slaps her the same as she did. ALL of the other guys there beat the shit out of him, and the entire time, he's screaming "HOW CAN SHE SLAP?", meaning "'why is she allowed to hit me?!" NO one even tried to intervene after she hit him, but they all jumped the second he hit back.

@Souken Wrong. Still a woman problem. They can divorce a man and take half his shit for no reason at all, claim child support and alimony and keep the kids. My mother kinda did that and fucked up me and 5 siblings in doing so. And fucked up my father, whom I’m now on good terms with. And this is in Norway. Women are favored in courts everywhere in the West, and will get sympathy even when they lie. Not all fathers just "run away", that’s a fuckin’ lie. Most fathers want to see their kids, but a lot of mothers won’t let them. The woman and the state itself both benefit economically if a father is removed from the household. And the children end up fucked in the head.

My cousin's ex wife was cheating on him and what she used to do whenever he got paid was to start fights with him then call the police to get him locked up and since it was on a Friday he wouldnt be able to bond out of jail until Monday so that would give her time to be with the man she was cheating with, then would refuse to charge him on Monday. Even though she would start the fight and hit him first (he never hit her back) because she was really bright skinned and he was dark skinned no marks and bruises would show on him but if he grabbed her hard there would be a red mark so he always got locked up. That went on for a couple of months until he finally found out she was cheating so he finally got fed up and decided he had enough so the payday weekend he waited for her to start and when she did thats when he started hitting her back but only in the back and top of the head that made her quickly stop fighting him, that's when he ran into the room and scratched himself on the arms and face and called the police saying his wife just attacked him (the truth) he then came out and told her he had called the police, she started yelling saying "good because they going to lock you up" but when the police got there the only thing they saw was that HE had the scratches and marks and since he only punched her in the head there was no visible signs or marks on her so they arrested her that night! When they drug her out of the house in handcuffs you can hear her screaming how could he do that and how can he have her arrested! Not only did she spend the weekend in jail but he refused to drop the charges and she spent an additional week in jail because they set her bail high due to previous violent arrest charges! He filed for divorce 2 weeks later

10:30 Can I just say, Thank you on behalf of all male viewers. I think men are good at restraint because for them it's a necessary social skill. A lot of men's instincts are undeniably aggressive. And learning to control them is just part of growing up. But it doesn't make dealing with shit like that feel any less horrible. And just hearing a woman sympathize with that just brings a smile to my face.

I'd recommend checking out a book called "The Boy Crisis," I recall a section in it were it illustrated that rough-housing is actually very important for boys development --- as you said "men know their strengths," and boys learn that at very young ages when they rough-and-tumble and learn where the boundary lines are so later in life, they know when to hold back. Take that away from boys, that could result in disaster with more men who never grew up knowing how to restrain themselves, nor know how far is too far. P.S. after hearing about your story rough-housing with your brother, I'm happy that you realize the clear difference in strength between men and women. Society these days is full of people trying to pretend that men and women are the same in terms of strength when they're clearly not. We need more people like you who understand that there is a big difference.

Yeah man! I hateeeeeeee those people. Freaking simps and white knights... Mommas boys. You know why they act like that?! Because they NEVER had a woman and/or are too dumb. They've been indoctrinated by that Feminism crap. It's a suppressor of critical thinking in a way... If they would've been 'inside their system' they would see how much of bs they're made off. It's allllll smokes and mirrors. I see men on the streets, without money, car or a house and these b*tches are alll happy taking vacations, having sports cars, huge mansions, etcetcetc. Because they manipulated men to give them everything!!! And men wonder why they're depressed, sad and lonely... They got tricked by these con artists!!! See if they care about equal rights then. They act just like the douchebags they criticized in the past! Or worse! Because men never stole a damn thing from women. Feminism is not about equality... It's about superiority! Fueled by deep deep jealousy. They can't stand seeing other people more successful than them. And it ain't about gender too... Because hard working women can make it without men for sure. I know some of them! So those people who complain... Take a good look at them. Are they studying?! Are they working?! Are they doing something about their live or just waiting for someone to rescue it?! Those people that are always with them saying "you are alright, there's nothing wrong with you, you did nothing wrong, it's his fault" blablabla They're spoiling them and turning them into egocentric monsters. NOBODY is perfect, specially women!

it's not that fact that we know we'd hurt them, but the fact that every other guy will attack us if we even try anything, on top of being the only one thrown in prison (despite who does what first, even if the woman ends up beating the guy within an inch of their life). hitting a woman would ruin our life permanently, it will be on our record forever, and will be judged harshly on this no matter the circumstance.

It isn't just that men are stronger. Women's bones are thinner and more fragile. They can't take the same punishment a man can. A man can get punched in the face and walk away. The same punch would break a woman's facial bones. That's why rugby and football players can be violently tackled and get up and walk away while women might have their ribs broken.

Many people don't realize how the lived experience of men and women are different, but there are som trans people who have lived both that can give interesting perspectives. I remember one trans person talking about how much more smiles you get in a normal day when you are a woman rather than a man. I also saw an experiment where women and men changed roles in a typical bar situation or nightclub, and half the women came out of it crying for all of the rejections they got trying to make contact with the men. I am not saying life should be the same for both genders, because it don't think it can be, but a bit of respect for each others lived reality is needed for a good society.

I was raised kind of similar. My dad taught me "Son, you should never hit a woman, no matter how mad they make you. Unless they double up their fist and punch you. At that point, they're ACTING like a man, so TREAT them like one." I've been SLAPPED by women on numerous occasions. Doesn't bother me. LOL Mostly because, about 70% of the time it happened, at least, I kind of had it coming for some off-color remark I made. But I've never been punched by a woman, thankfully (except playfully, never in anger), so I've never had to USE that advice.

The thing that's really disgusting is when a man does actually retaliate, I've heard of more than a few cases of vindictive woman screaming like they're the victim and trying to rally support from the people around them if they're in public. A man has to be REALLY careful not to attack a woman, even if it's in self defense because not only will other people be on the woman's side, but the law often will too. Men restrain because they have to, especially if they have children and they don't want the wife to leave and take the children from them, since courts are often biased against men.

Rather than [not wanting to hurt the person] I think guys generally tend to hold back because of the consequences of not doing so. Men generally have no real qualms retaliating when a [weaker man] starts punching them. So [being stronger] probably isn't the biggest reason most men restrain themselves from retaliating. As they are still very much capable of inflicting that same harm on said [weaker man]. (which, more often than not is in fact inflicted by the end of the encounter). And There are plenty of ways to dominate someone in a fight without inflicting much physical harm. Especially when you're the stronger combatant. Not to mention the fact that people can have other reasons entirely unrelated to gender or physical strength to retaliate. When a man restrains themselves [because its a woman], generally it's because they employ the other side of sexism, they are cautious of the consequences, or they genuinely do not care for violence to any extent. But for many reasons, I believe the last option to likely be the least common. I think most people regardless of where they stand on this are aware of the difference in strength. And for some that might be a reason to not retaliate, but for others it might not be. Heck, there are even people out there who are aware of the differences in strength and are counting on that fact as they commit horrible acts. In short; it isn't easy to treat everyone the same, and the human condition is a lot more intricate than that.

@11:10 It’s not that we hold back because we know we’re stronger and don’t want to hurt her (you’re talking about women hitting men and the men holding back) It’s that we know the second we swing back we’re a) going to jail and b) getting (best case scenario) beaten to within inches of our lives in aforementioned jail by the other inmates.

Reminds me a bit of a part in a documentary about Danish post-punk rock band Iceage and their first US tour. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5fScplprMakq8k at the 1:40 mark where a girl comes up to the frontman, Elias, and hits him in the face and he has no idea what's going on asking the girl "What's going on with your fucking head, man? ... Well, I mean, your parents didn't raise you well enough." There might be some lost in translation stuff there, but I think he got across his message: if you're resorting to more or less wanton physical altercations it means your parents did a shite job raising you.

Men have to be careful to not lose control especially with a woman as we can do a lot of damage that's why Men should always walk away if any female is getting under your skin , the consequences could be very serious if you don't. Some women believe they are on a par physically because they never experience how dangerous most men are capable of being if they lose control. You seem to understand this basic fact sadly many don't if their behaviour is anything to go by .

Actually it's restraint AND biology. Moral restraint because we are raised that way and society would judge us, and mainly biology because men are hardwired and have a natural protective instinct towards women, especially if we are sexually attracted to them (whish is A LOT of women). That instinct compell us to protect women we perceive as vulnerable and physically inferior to us, or at least try not to hurt them. But if a woman crosses the line too hard (humiliation, etc.) and/or too often... And also if the man is not emotionally balanced (childhood trauma, abusive mother,...) those are the ones who become wife beaters.

@@KurNorock Firstly, Lol, my guy, *please* say that to Bill's face & in front of his wife. Do you really believe what you're saying? If an argument is convincing, it's probably because it's *true.* You think a guy as out-spoken as BILL BURR would be slowly gas-lit and manipulated out of his beliefs as opposed to being presented with something convincing & changing his mind? Do you even know who Bill Burr is? Wtf? You're WAY out-of-pocket. And secondly, uh, yeah, "MAGA freak" is an insult as to say the foundation you're making this argument from is from a psychotic tribalistic bandwagon, believing whatever your folks believe just because they believe it, not actual introspection and rigorously testing their claims with logical proofs. Btw, America has 330+ million citizens & I'm pretty sure the voting numbers were around half of that total, so it may be as low as 1/4th of the population that voted for Trump & a little more than 1/4th that voted for Biden. Who do you think those people that didn't vote would have voted for if they did vote? Thirdly, You didn't contextualize your argument, and if I were to challenge you to justify this argument, "Poisoning his mind," and ask you for the who-what-where-when-why-how of what that even means, testing you by getting you to actually think about what you're saying for the first time in your life, your whole thing will fall apart.

@@vikuswavy5785 lol say it to his face? What? Are you implying that Bill would assault me for saying that his wife is manipulating him? Or are you just implying that I would be too cowardly to tell him to his face? Either way, you are wrong, as usual. Do I really believe what I'm saying? Of course I do. That's why I said it. Just because an argument is convincing doesn't mean it is true at all. There are a million different factors that can lead to a person being convinced of something that isn't true. It happens all the time. If this weren't the case, then nobody would ever be wrong about anything. You really don't know anything about the right wing do you? That was a rhetorical question, I can tell by your absurdly ignorant description of a "maga freak" that you really don't have a clue. It never occurred to you that people might disagree with you for perfectly reasonable and rational reasons. You honestly believe that anybody who disagrees with you MUST be "psychotic" and "tribalistic" and incapable of independent thought. Because you just assume that you have all the answers and anybody who believes any differently from you is defective in some way. It couldn't possibly just be that you might be wrong, or that other people might believe that there is a different way to accomplish a goal. Nope, you really are that egotistical. You've got to be kidding me. " if I were to challenge you to justify this argument, "Poisoning his mind," and ask you for the who-what-where-when-why-how of what that even means," You realize you are basically asking me to go into a research paper level dissertation here right? This is a KZbin comment, not a psychology class. You know damn good and well what "poisoning his mind" means and how that is done. You just don't agree that it is happening. But you want to challenge me to an arbitrary and ridiculous goal, just so you can claim victory and strut around when I don't deliver.

Don't project *your* violent tendencies onto my words. 2. You have no reference to any "usuals" from what I've written to tell me what I say is usually false. You've only read my comments this very week for the first time in your life. 3. If you're referring to "convincing" being pathos, like tugging at the heartstrings, fear-mongering/scary buzzwords, or rEvElAtOrY conspiracy theories instead of true statements spoken with a boring voice, sure, but what *I'm* referring to is "convincing" in the sense of pure logos. Statements that are true, that are justified, and are demonstrated as such by a boring voice. In the place I reside, the place of pure logos, *people can be wrong every single day. Even every single hour/minute/second.* 4. I've debated people on the right for 2 years straight a couple of years ago. 98% of them were extremely close-minded and 2% of them actually allowed their perspectives to be challenged. Not one of them were able to take any ground from me that I took from them just on the pure logos of the conversations. Most people can't fully disprove what they're saying quickly because it has so many layers of misinterpretations and convolutions that it's difficult to call out because you have to have deep knowledge of the topics they're talking about, like global warming, crime statistics, and *elections.* 5. I will stake on my life right now that I test my convictions *FAR* more often than you ever have. I justify my beliefs to myself frequently to make sure they're correct. 6. No, I don't know what "poisoning his mind" means because it's a loaded statement. There's a lot in it to be unpacked. Sorry, but I seem to have missed whatever obscure and dark conditioning you picked up in whatever part of society you came out of. You can't just keep your stuff packed and present it packed wherever you go, refusing to unpack it because you're not in a psychology class. You're making *BIG* claims about the beliefs of a very prideful guy, Bill Burr, who is famous. Lots of people care about the kind of character that he has and they would like a word with you. You don't think you need to be able to justify those claims with logical proofs? Seriously? If you don't have to justify your bad take, then hell, no one has to justify their claims about anyone or anything unless they're in a class! When this gets applied across the board, you can't complain about it!
