calabiyou, Don't look back. Sometimes it takes a few burned bridges before we figure out that one of the keys to success in ANY business is to learn how to play well with others and foster creative relationships. Glad you enjoyed the interview. Bill is a consummate pro and we're lucky to be able to share his wisdom with you guys. -Matt

Great Interview. Bill and I went to the same High School and we all used to go home wearing one of his makeup "experiments". He was and is a great guy. SO happy to see how successful his career has been. Sometimes good things do happen to good people.

I'm not sure that he would remember me...but, I babysat Bill and his brother when they were very young. So he wasn't kidding when he said his passion started very early in life. I can tell you, even then Billy was drawing (freehand) pics and telling me stories. And his art work was so precise there was never a lot of erasing. I remember him doing monsters, and war stuff, and especially his KISS artwork. He was a wonderful kid and I looked forward to the times when I knew I would be caring for them. I could sit for hours just listing to him and watching him draw. I knew he was fantastically talented even then and I wasn't a bit surprised at his success!! I'm just very happy that he followed his dream. (I thought he might get into writing and or directing too...his story telling/creating skills were off the hook!!)

back before the net ,we had books.Forreys ,& a few others would feature make-up artists of cthe day.Their words of advice were good, but a shot of them at a work-station & a huge magnifying glass would be my way to see what they were using for tools & materials .I made friends with a dentist ,a taxidermist ,and some beauty make-up people.Corsons ,prop makers bible,&Grays anat. were my go -to,s before Savini,s bible...
