This is a beautiful interpretation of a great standard! I suppose you do not take "requests" per se but I was wondering if you know the song "My World Is Beginning Today"? I've always thought that one is ripe for a jazz interpretation but I haven't seen anyone do it.

Yup! Did Suzuki piano as a kid. Then I took a year of jazz lessons although I didn’t stick with it to learn the fancy jazz theory or anything. I’ve always wanted to go back to jazz lessons and learn some of that crazy “outside” sounding stuff.

I think I had a basic piano sheet from a fake book a while back? But I couldn't remember a lot of the chords. I found a cover on SoundCloud of a classical guitar and vocal version that was simply amazing, and so I was listening to that and decided to try playing this

Noice, but please don't include "Cover" in a jazz standard, nor "Bill Evans". You're not Bill Evans and doing your own improvisation on a standard doesn't need to be notified since it's obvious. Aside from that is a wonderful work

Pourquoi avoir mis Bill Evans dans le titre de la vidéo ? Cet air n'est pas de lui et ce n'est pas du tout joué dans l'esprit de B.Evans, au contraire je dirais que c'est tout l'opposé ! La technique est là, c'est une version propre enregistrée de manière pro avec du top matériel mais c'est tout, l'émotion est totalement absente, l'harmonisation et le style sonnent ringard, on sent un manque de culture de l'histoire du jazz comme un pianiste classique ou de variétés qui s'est mis au jazz sur le tard. Désolé d'être très critique mais quand je vois marqué "Bill Evans" je m'attends soit à une de ses compositions soit à quelqu'un qui joue vraiment dans son style (ou du moins qui essaye), or là je vois bien que c'est simplement pour faire plus de vues. Si vous aviez simplement indiqué le titre du morceau je n'aurais pas commenté négativement.
