One thing to admire that I’ve come to appreciate more is that the Patriots were all about business 25/8 and twice on Sundays. You hear players from other teams talk about their amenities and other things they require, and it’s led me to believe that winning football was not their most important factor. It’s a new generation now. Players want to play and have fun at the same time. This is probably why you won’t see another dynasty like the Pats in the near future. The commitment to football at all costs is overshadowed by the new generation’s sense of entitlement. If you wanted to win, you went to the Patriots, and that’s when some players realized they didn’t want to win that bad. That’s it.

Not a Pats fan or even Brady but I love these stories. It really showcases the differences between a dynasty and good teams. Bellichek is fun to poke fun at but you can’t deny he figured out his formula and put it to use. Stand in the way or try to alter that formula and you simply found yourself on the outside of the organization.

I cannot get enough of hearing Coach Belichick stories! I was around the Browns complex, locker room occasionally, & players family waiting room at the old stadium for their last two years, before Benidictmodell took the team to baltimore. Believe me I could not stand that guy. He made me eating with the players during camp & hanging around practices inside the ropes a issue, but once I stopped trying to be nice, smiling, & talking to him also being nervous around .. I don’t know what, how, or why it happened, but Coach stopped caring about me hanging around the guys anymore. Obviously I knew how to act & where I can & cant go. But I still did not like the coach, mostly if not 100% personal reasons. Like not playing my friends & especially cutting Bernie Kosar (which was the right move but wrong time) But now like 30 yrs later Some of the guys who disliked him, changed their minds about him, but nobody more than me! To think this young guy that tried to come in & shake up how all the previous coach’s coaches & acted (especially with the media) would become the GREATEST COACH OF ALL TIME!! I only wish I had more stories about this G.O.A.T
