He more than "pushed the boundaries". His favorite plays were to jamb his elbow into his opponents throat, and put his foot where he thought his opponents foot would land so that he could cause a sprain or broken ankle. He brought this style of play to the Detroit WNBA team when he coached them, The man was not only the dirtiest player ever, he was, and still is, a total asshole.

Can you imagine Draymond Green having to deal with Bill Laimbeer?
@shanemcmillan411510 ай бұрын
He wouldn't have to. Draymond Green has 163 technicals, 19 flagrant fouls, 17 elections, and suspended 4 times for just how he plays. Bill went over 600 straight games before receiving one one game suspension. The rules were way different. He might still be tough but he wouldn't be able to act like he did without constantly getting suspended.

@@therightshiftkey9912 Not necessarily. Some of us Detroiters lived it. We read every newspaper article, saw every interview, watched every game, lived and died with the Pistons - the scrappy team that had no winning tradition and completely upended the NBA while the country was still fellating Magic, Bird, and was trying to make sure 23 was the next star in the NBA. 35 years later everyone is STILL bitching and whining about Laimbeer, but still worship that scumbag Karl Malone.
