bill did not start leaning left until 2002 when his show politically incorrect on mainstream tv got cancelled because he made a comment that was considered to be insulting to the US military resulting in many right leaning viewers criticizing him and network tv was so scared of losing advertisers that they cancelled his show . bill never got over that and then as a result he became a left leaning person who would go on to attack the right , especially the religious / christian conservatives whom he felt were the ones mostly responsible for his show getting cancelled in 2002 , but very recently he seems to be getting back to his original self , someone who does not lean too much in one direction or another and thats a good thing .

These people on The View are absolutely delusional.
@realbrittain7 ай бұрын
The problem with "both sides" is a classical logical fallacy called a FALSE DICHOTOMY. It implies that there are only two sides, a binary choice between option A and option B. But in reality, both options are owned by parent company A, so you're really just hearing what one side - the owner of the network - allows you to hear. It's like McDonald's, you can have anything that's on the menu. But imagine that you want something that's not on the menu, you know, like actual healthy food that isn't heavily processed - you can't get that at McDonald's, so you're not really hearing "both sides" even if they put up a Burger King, a Taco Bell, or a KFC next door or in the same mall complex. It's why when anyone starts deviating from accepted narratives, they're blacklisted from television, no longer invited to shows or networks.

He went from supporting Bernie Sanders in 2016 to Amy Klobuchar in 2020 and used to regularly talk about socialism being a good thing as well as excess capitalism being bad and how Americans are some of the most stressed out people ever and how the concerns about reverse racism are ridiculous to obsessing over wokeism, railing against colleges and complaining about taxes which is nothing like he was 10 years ago. Also when is the last time you've seen anyone remotely progressive on his show? Thank you for sharing this, Brittain. As a strong Christian, after seeing Regilulous, I despised Bill. But like Bill, who has the ability, mental capacity for reasonable thought, this intelligence and introspection to call a spade a spade, and parse the words of our media, the hate and the absurdity, as well as the network news (which we no longer have) versus “news networks” with are now nothing but talking heads (which are all of them), I have now started to listen to him, and others, much more closely. As a former moderate conservative, I resent that I’ve been pushed to be staunch. The Democratic Party has left reasonable liberals with more questions than answers. The politics of each party are dictated talking points to get elected…from the top of the ticket on down, and I hate it. Our society, for the most part, has lost the ability to be a singular voter/supporter that must now side with a party to spite the other. Critical thinking is a lost inalienable right that God gave us. The majority decides for us, and most never question why. The last thing I’ll rant about is this…and this is for every one of every belief…stop trying to impress upon others that your opinion is right. That simply makes that person a self-righteous fool. If you hold your ground, shut your mouth, and stand true to your convictions, then God Bless you! However, if you take any issue, religion, politics, social rights, etc, and tell me you’re right, then by definition you’re telling me I’m wrong. Wouldn’t it be nice if those jack-holes were right? Everything would be right in the world, like at the end of The Christmas Story. God Bless and keep up the great work and the faith, my friend.

A perfect analogy for this war! Kudos!
@realbrittain7 ай бұрын
The other issue here that isn't mentioned is the surrounding nations supporting the war. It's not really a conflict between just Israel and just Palestine/Gaza or even just Iran. There are over 40 other nations in that region that all want indefinite fighting because of their fundamentalist, theocratic belief system that rejects the idea that governments should not be under religious control nor impose religious control upon their populations. It's the Ummah that really wants unlimited fighting there. If you get rid of the Ummah, get rid of theocracy, a secular western-style independent Palestine/Gaza is an easy task and there's no war at all, once the ideological source of the past 4,000 years of conflict is gone. Islam must reform to accept that government is secular and the Ummah has no ownership nor valid control over individual human rights unless any individual chooses to join Islam. 95% of the people who practice Islam do not actually believe in it nor wish to be part of it, but they live in nations where they must practice it by law. The remaining 5% practice a western version of Islam where they regularly reject the fundamentalist elements of eastern Islam in favor of secular values and multinational culture. In many ways, this is a conscripted proxy war conducted by parts of the west, parts of the east, and waged for control of resources in the region at the expense of those innocent people who live in Israel, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Libya, Egypt - as I said there are over 40 - are all victims of the cult mentality of eternal jihad over the peaceful secularism and freedom that the average individual wants regardless of their native culture or homeland. That is why Iran and others are destined for revolution, as Christianity is rising in Iran, rising in China, rising all over the world, and these massive governments which view themselves as chosen by God are destined to be defeated.
@danjones95897 ай бұрын
@@realbrittain This is very much in line with my understanding after so many years of following the conflicts in the region. I know it is not a simple concept, but I wonder why very few venues for discussing this view have not been made. Of course, getting rid of the theocracies and what they are doing is a long shot and probably not something that can be or should be coerced, but understanding the limitations of some populations, or the mindsets of some populations, is important to understanding the real roots of the issue, an issue that periodically develops into war.

Give Ruth a break. She wasn't a politician, and she didn't think like one, nor did she make decisions like one. That's what made her so special. And that's why she stayed as long as she did. Because it was a lifetime appointment and she took that seriously. She was still Mentally fit. To think about the politics, would've tainted her integrity.

The way you shut Sunny up is with facts. When you have facts and be willing to challenge her with that, she gets quiet. The view panel lets her spew her nonsense because one, they agree and two, I guess it gets ratings. I watched a lot when Barbara Walters was on, now it depends on who they guest is. I can't take it listening to Sunny.
