Jennifer Warnes is one of the greatest female vocalists ever. She didn't need to show off, or dress provocatively to sell records, like so many others. Because SHEHAD THE VOICE. Sadly, despite atleast 3 Oscar nominations for Best Original Song, it seems she was deemed "not attractive enough", and never truly achieved the recognition she deserved. Same as Laura Branigan, they're two of the BEST. It's these singers that shine above others. Jennifer WAS beautiful, true class, no pretense, a role model for all female singers. This song always makes me cry, even when I'm not watching the film. Most deserved oscar win for best original song EVER. I wish more people knew about this amazing singer, beyond Dirty Dancing.

Still a classic after 30 years. This song will always remind us of the movie "Dirty Dancing", especially the legenday movie line "Nobody puts Baby in a corner" and the epic lift scene of Johnny (Patrick Swayze) & Baby (Jennifer Grey). Happy 30th Anniversary to one of the best movies of the 1980's! :-)
