AncientRat: I read your comment (2-3-2022), and laughed out loud. That's exactly how I feel about it number of times I have listened and re-listened. 🤣 I actually had my curly hair shortened and cut in Jennifer Grey's hairstyle-and thought I hung the moon. Of course, this old woman thiught back then, that I looked pretty cute. Wait, it gets better ~ I have gone as far as insisting that this be played at my Funeral/Celebration of life). Honest! Be well and never stop having the time of your life. 😎💕

Lyrics Now I've had the time of my life No, I never felt like this before Yes I swear, it's the truth And I owe it all to you 'Cause I've had the time of my life And I owe it all to you I've been waiting for so long Now I've finally found someone to stand by me We saw the writing on the wall As we felt this magical fantasy Now with passion in our eyes There's no way we could disguise it secretly So we take each other's hand 'Cause we seem to understand the urgency Just remember You're the one thing I can't get enough of So I'll tell you something This could be love, because I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before Yes, I swear, it's the truth And I owe it all to you Hey, baby With my body and soul I want you more than you'll ever know So we'll just let it go Don't be afraid to lose control, no Yes, I know what's on your mind When you say, "Stay with me tonight" (stay with me) Just remember You're the one thing I can't get enough of So I'll tell you something This could be love, because I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before Yes, I swear (yes, I swear), it's the truth And I owe it all to you 'Cause I've had the time of my life And I've searched though every open door 'Til I found the truth And I owe it all to you Now I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before (never felt this way) Yes, I swear, it's the truth And I owe it all to you I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before (never felt this way) Yes, I swear, it's the truth (it's the truth) And I owe it all to you 'Cause I've had the time of my life And I've searched though every open door 'Til I found the truth And I owe it all to you... Jennifer Warnes is one of the greatest female vocalists ever. She didn't need to show off, or dress provocatively to sell records, like so many others. Because SHEHAD THE VOICE. Sadly, despite atleast 3 Oscar nominations for Best Original Song, it seems she was deemed "not attractive enough", and never truly achieved the recognition she deserved. Same as Laura Branigan, they're two of the BEST. It's these singers that shine above others. Jennifer WAS beautiful, true class, no pretense, a role model for all female singers. This song always makes me cry, even when I'm not watching the film. Most deserved oscar win for best original song EVER. I wish more people knew about this amazing singer, beyond Dirty Dancing.

Now I've had the time of my life No, I never felt like this before Yes I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you 'Cause I've had the time of my life And I owe it all to you I've been waiting for so long Now I've finally found someone to stand by me We saw the writing on the wall And we felt this magical fantasy Now with passion in our eyes There's no way we could disguise it secretly So we take each others hand 'Cause we seem to understand the urgency Just remember You're the one thing I can't get enough of So I'll tell you something This could be love Because I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before Yes I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you Hey baby With my body and soul I want you more than you'll ever know So we'll just let it go Don't be afraid to lose control, no Yes, I know what's on your mind when you say "Stay with me tonight" (stay with me) And remember You're the one thing I can't get enough of So I'll tell you something This could be love Because I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before Yes I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you 'Cause I've had the time of my life And I've searched through every open door (never felt this way) Till I found the truth And I owe it all to you Now I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before (never felt this way) Yes I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you I've had the time of my life No, I never felt this way before (never felt this way) Yes I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you 'Cause I've had the time of my life (I had time of my life) And I've searched through every open door (you do it to me, baby) Till I found the truth (you do it to me, baby) And I owe it all to you
