My wife recently passed away from Metastatic Breast Cancer, this was one of the songs we fell in love to. She put together a playlist on a thumb drive, that I found after she died. I lost my best friend, rock, lover, soulmate and lady. I miss and love you always Claudia.

This was one of my husband and my favorite movies. My husband and Patrick were both battling cancer at the same time. Greg and I read about Patrick and used his ideas about smoothies for inspiration. He was sure he would beat cancer. Greg was sure too. Greg died from cancer, and a month later, Patrick died from it too. I have been fighting my cancer for a year now. I was cancer-free for three months and now it has spread. I start chemo again tomorrow. If the cancer does not get me, the Corona virus might. I guess I will keep on fighting, like Greg and Patrick did, to the end. RIP Greg and Patrick. Sending love to the universe.

In 2002, my wife and I, my brother, along with a few other relatives helped my parents celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, with Dirty Dancing as the theme. My parents loved dancing and they especially loved Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. On the dance floor they were once again teenagers, especially with this song. My parents are gone now and everytime i see this video, the tears start streaming down my face. My mom passed in 2017. My dad in 2021. For my dad, those four years after my mom had passed were empty years without his beloved wife at his side. Now they are together, dancing a storm and "looking wonderful out there". Miss you mom and dad with all my heart.

I still can't believe they couldn't stand each other. The chemistry looked to genuine
@lunabelletheinsane6 ай бұрын
From my understanding - they couldn't stand each other on another film shoot, and didn't want to do Dirty Dancing together, but agreed after watching their chemistry test reel. Their natural irritation really played well to their characters being polar opposites, and by the end, they both had genuine respect for each other, which is why they looked so natural together. At least, that's what Jennifer (or was it Patrick? Idk, one of them said it) in an interview somewhere. The chemistry they had was real though - they both admitted that.

Wow..great stuff, 71 and still loving it. Brings us back to special times. Hello to all Boomers!!
It was mainly because he was a professional dancer, whereas she was not. He got frustrated when she made mistakes. Took many takes before they finally clicked. But they deserve awards for not letting their frustrations ruin the move. Loved the dancing scene at the end. Everyone participated, even the old 2 ladies.

This movie was how me and Come and See’s Floyra ended up dancing together in Ponta Cana together; the entire resort joined in because the residents were stunned by our love and Floyra didn’t realise he hugged me in front of everyone but he doesn’t care because I’m the love of his life and for years to come
