@rogerab17926 жыл бұрын
1:56 If you wanted a small flying device you would probably use fans instead of wings. Sometimes nature doesn't provide the best solution for human needs because animal evolution works a different way. A bee can't suddenly grow spinning rotors from its torax, it is easier and quicker for their anatomy to grow wings, and that would be enough to give them an evolutionary advantage over their environment. Nevertheless I find this people's work really insightful and inspiring and they will probably learn really useful things studying nature, so I support this 100%.

Got a idea that could allow people without eye sight to walk around on the streets that should allow them to leave their dog at home and even the commonly used stick. I managed to get it working in Second-Life, but due to a completely new viewer it was destroyed in the process. We did manage to proof to make it working and it worked like a charm. Blind people who used it didn't bump into something nor had trouble finding a place to sit, a door and even enjoy a little extra touch of humor and story attached. I would love to get it in reality and see if this works indeed for the real world as well, but it gets rather hard if you don't have the financial means or any backers. At least we had the fun of seeing IBM struggle with their million dollar in-game variant over years and fail hard. Specially because it didn't cost our team much effort or cost and we got it working in no time.

Robotics is passing out of infancy and there is a bit of a human maturation analogy, in that as babies - we're myopic, and then later we begin to see our environment as something with its own existence. Certainly one goal of robotics will be to replicate ourselves in a traditional 'Turing test" way, as Sci-Fi has predicted for decades, but that will likely only be a small niche within robotics. Robotics, like computing, will eventually become invisible.

Impressive. The Glove Bots (hand palm & fingers manipulator) Control Technology could be incorporated onto existing Warehouse Humanoids wrist joints and have them handle delicate Assembly Operations at Back End Manufacturing in aging/declining population+advanced economies. Extending its application ecosystem into A.I. space (in the interest of revenue expansion → be it software system endpoints &/or GPU-CPU chiplets solution in Data Center racks), how about assigning CoPilot Autonomous Agents to these Humanoids and temporary 'attach' them to Human Partners for Machine Learning cycle to complete.
