I am adding an update to my comments on this video. I do now advocate the wrist cocking up and down. This is most important with the shorter shots. We cock our wrist first and most in shorter shots and then the elbows follow on the longer shots.

I have read Brian Sparks book twice and implemented his thoughts. Big improvement in my game but on shorter irons a fade came in. Rocky has helped stop this by explaining that the path is in front of you. No more bad back and longer straighter shots, what's not to like.

Thanks Mark, I am a student of history and it is interesting that the golfers who help shape my ideas all knew each other from the 1920's to the 1990's Mike Austin, Bill Mehlhorn and Harry Frankenberg aka:Count Yogi All three were very counter culture to todays quote "PGA Way" All were very powerful and very free flowing with how they looked and swing. Glad you like it. You will be fine doing this, but I would like you to take a look at Jim Venetos Golf. It is rooted in swinging on a circle which Bill Melhorn was very in favour of. Either way Golf is a Great Game!

Rocky what kind of scores can you shoot with this action? Is this really what Wild Bill did?

Yes Jimmy you can shoot low scores. However, it is still golf and like any technique you still have to score. I would recommend a lot of 100 yds and in practice. To lower your handicap you have to practice and play often. Good Luck!

Does this swing promote a fade? I tried it today and got some fades. Normal? Or is it ball position? I like this swing. Like brian sparks.

If you are fading and not slicing all is good. You can make the ball go both ways. Yes like Brian Sparks. I actually have spoken with Brian. We have similar ideas on natural movement and staying relaxed. Also check out Count Yogi Golf.

the thing i would argue about is extension in backswing,or does it matter and moving off ball,but one thing is clear i,m not pivoting my hips correctly like you and Mr Shave do in backswing.enjoyed video.S/j .

Jardine, tilting the shoulder down in the back swing can work. The challenge is you must reverse action in the transition and downswing. Tilting the shoulders is not a necessary fundamental of an effective golf swing. Many would argue this with me but you can stay level and be effective. In fact I am now doing the Jim Venetos method and I don't move at all during the back swing or down swing. Check out Jim. Good Golfing :-)
