The fiddle player, Kenny Baker, was the longest tenured Bluegrass Boy. He was a force with which to be reckoned and is the gold standard for Bluegrass fiddling.
@nc4tn Жыл бұрын
Kenny’s style was somewhat different that some of the other blue grass fiddlers because of his early Western swing influence. I rate Kenny and Vassar Clements as the greatest in Bill’s band.

Playing for the evil state is quite contradictory to the Holy Spirit that lives in bluegrass.
@rabokarabekian4092 жыл бұрын
Oh fer sure, the blues and scots-irish music have no sinful content of any kind. Songs about lonely despair, murder, alcoholism, adultery, and robbery are all just to illustrate how much the eternal, almighty God is upset about thse human foibles.
@mikebastiat2 жыл бұрын
@@rabokarabekian409 There is no contradiction in recognizing that we're sinners and objecting to the idolatry behind statism. Indeed, it is the first step to recovery. To see Bill Monroe revere a politician at the head of the evil is disheartening. It seems at this point it will take an act of God for anyone to wake up from their slumber. The plunderous state is venerated by everyone from Average Joe to gospel musicians.
