The thing I love most about this is that when Phil plays for an audience, his teacher is so proud and exuberant: "That's my student!" And while it makes her look as if she is taking credit for Phil's skill ( as he had just done one lesson with her ) she IS actually the one that taught him all he knows - I think that is so beautiful!

For every lucky KZbinr reading this - You might be able to recognize many popular music pieces (every genre) with Tunatic program. It recognized this :)

@js09js094 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't feel good at all. I am actually somewhat surprised the teacher kicked the student out, even though she was offered $1000 by Phil. Punxsutawney is a very small town, and doing something like kicking a girl out of a piano lesson that her parents already paid for would permanently damage your reputation. Everyone in the town would know about it and remember it. I grew up in a town the same size as Punxsutawney so I know how they work.
@afriendofbean3 жыл бұрын
If the teacher didn't tell her student about the $1000 she was offered, I'm sure the student felt surprised and confused like she was thinking "I just got here and now I'm kicked out" with her look at 1:00. She must have walked home and told her parents that the teacher doesn't care to have her as a student anymore and the parents must have said that they wasted money for nothing.

How can he learn to play the piano if he doesn't age? Physically he's exactly the same every day yet he learns to play the piano, that doesn't make any sense.
@afriendofbean6 жыл бұрын
+Graham Black He's trapped inside a time warp which is why he's the same every day. Nobody knows that he's inside a time warp except himself. For example, lets say he broke all the windows in a building and then goes to bed at night and when he wakes up, the windows are all fixed where the day which is Groundhog Day is starting from the beginning again.
@grahamblack19616 жыл бұрын
If he can remember the previous Ground Hog day and can learn the piano then he's not the same each day, therefor he must be ageing.
@afriendofbean6 жыл бұрын
+Graham Black His ageing is probably also repeating where if he gets grey hairs on one Groundhog Day, the next day the grey hairs are gone.
@grahamblack19616 жыл бұрын
Well if he's physically the same each day as he was the day before, he can't be learning the piano - or have any memory at all of the previous day.
@afriendofbean6 жыл бұрын
+Graham Black His memory is actually the same each day where for four days in a row he was hearing the same news radio each morning when he wakes up, his High School Ned Ryerson keeps stopping him four days in a row like Ned hasn't seen him for a long time but Phil knows and is learning about Ned having a memory that Ned is an insurance agent. Plus, Phil told his girlfriend Rita that he's (Phil) like a God and is learning about people, their names, etc. where he told Rita that he's living each day the same day like Groundhog Day never happened yet.
