I loved Bill Plympton's movie "The Tune" growing up. I liked that Del from "The Tune" is featured here. My favorite Plymptoon is 2001's "Eat" because of how much color is used. "Parking," which was also made in 2001, also uses colorful backgrounds

In the 1990's, some time after the above animations were produced, my then-husband Jim and I went to an Evening of Bill Plympton Animations, including the Above, and Bill Plympton himself was there as a Guest Speaker! Later we bought a VHS tape of his animations, and he Autographed the box! Some 5+ years later, when Jim and I divorced, Jim got the Video in the split of property, :-( I recently saw a reference to "The Goonies" online, with one the young actors being Martha Plimpton. Her Wikipedia page says she's a cousin to Writer George Plimpton (deceased), AND to Bill Plympton. While the Wikipedia page points out the difference in Spelling ("Pympton" is the Older Spelling), it doesn't say how close they are. Am a Genealogist, and knowing already that both Martha and George are my cousins, I decided to research Bill. Took me about 4 hours, but I pieced together a family tree that connects All 3. Martha and Bill are 4th cousins 2x removed at their Closest Connection. On that same tree, Martha and George are 8th cousins 2x removed (another tree brings them 1 step closer), which makes Bill an 8th cousin of George. I myself am an 8th cousin 2x removed to Martha, 8th cousin 3x removed to George, and at least a 13th double-cousin to Bill! I have a great many Famous cousins, but it's very rare that I get to meet any In-Person. So I am very Happy to know now that Bill Plympton is a Famous Cousin that I actually got to Meet and Talk to! :-)
