Met Bill when we were both thumbing down Broadway on a wet evening in early 1970, ( that's how we got around those days) I was a very longhaired 14 year old runaway type he was on his way to the Wooden Barrel in Burnaby, He kindly invited me along , I thought we were going there to see some act or something, but we go in and he picks up the microphone on the stage and find he's the music! What a great soul singer, "A rainy night in Georgia" was unforgettable. Thank you, Bill
