Bill painted beautiful clouds that had life to them. Almighty clouds surrounding a majestic mountain made his work stand out. He was and is the true master. No one could take his spot.

The master himself showing how to make great clouds. Thank you, Bill, for inspiring many people to pick up the brush and start painting.

I grew up watching this man. I loved watching his shows and his paintings coming to life. I could draw, but painting was out of our budget. I miss watching his shows and jump when I see one come up. RIP Bill.

Same here. I actually have the "tick" paints magic "vite", etc. now, but hardly the time. Maybe when I retire I can make some mountains and clouds and trees...

I loved watching him so much, and greatly respect and admire his artwork. And I also love to laugh when he says to "Make little piggy eyes." and "The rooster will dance for the chicken." and such, he was always very entertaining to watch, and to listen to.

He was part of my childhood, long before this stinkin' internet. His backstory is fantastic. I never knew all the details back then. He was a German POW who immigrated and became an American citizen, and learned out language and loved America-and life. Think how easily he might have been snuffed out by a single bullet or mine or mortar back in that war. No one would have known his art, and his love of teaching it.

My mom's favorite show. She was a talented artist, and she was always quoting Bill Alexander. " The happy little road...alizarulian crimson and Prussian blue..."
