Yes!!!! This is revolutionary for me too. I’m starting out and the paint sets I got on Amazon are really basic beginner quality. I bet just adding these mediums will save frustration and wasted paints.

David, this is the most concise explanation of the traditional "fat over lean" method I have ever seen. More importantly you've applied it to acrylic painting. I'm very familiar with the method as it relates to oil painting but this is the first time I've seen it effectively applied to acrylics. As you stated, "That's an acrylic painted cloud and it looks like oil." This has been a true epiphany for me relating to acrylic "fat over lean". I can't wait to use the technique. And not just for clouds! A million thanks for this!

Wow!!! I learned sooooo much in 1st 13 min!! It’s been 41 yrs since I held a paint brush other than to paint the house. So- I forget EVERYTHING except primary colors and what they make.
