@TheContinuingStories it did not work out as planned. I got to Muirkirk and had to head back for reasons I do not want go into. I started walking towards the River Ayr and things went pear shaped. I will certainly go back soon and let's just say, I will not drink strong costa coffee the next time. I certainly a walk to do and a looks a great place to visit.

@TheContinuingStories thanks, I will get there soon. Not long before I saw your vlog, it was on bbc Scotland channel, a guy called Paul Murton, not the comedian Paul Merton, does this programme, lochs and rivers of Scotlsnd, and as part of the River Ayr Way, he started off at Glenbuck and the Bill Shankley Memorial. I knew of Glenbuck being an old mining village and Shankley hailing from there, and said that I've always been intrigued to visit and a few weeks later I came across your video. Really great content. I much prefer watching KZbin vlogs and travel vlogs than the TV these days as you all put a lot of hard work and effort in to what you do and more real / authentic than watching tv celebs or presenters doing there stuff. Kudos 👏

@ it looks like a really interesting area to explore as there seems lots of walks near by that incorporate the memorial, you do get a sense of great history there and how much the world has changed. Thanks for your kindness it’s nice to get comments as these videos aren’t new anymore and I reminisce on the days and the sense of adventure. Always end up back in Scotland, I have a series of NC500 videos to do but just don’t find the time. All the best

Shankly, by his own admission, was not the best footy player, But He wanted to be better as a manager, as a player. and so it proved at His beloved Anfield.
