Just because DJ knew how to swim, it didn’t mean he knew how to survive drowning. We were extremely fortunate to have Matt Majors, from the TWRA, looking for him. Although it wasn’t the outcome I so desperately prayed for, Captain Majors did locate and recover my sweet boy. I will forever be grateful. ❤️ PLEASE wear a life jacket, EVERY time. I am so sorry for you loss. I couldn't even imagine losing a child in any type of way. I am a weak swimmer, I never go in water without a vest. You never know how the current or conditions can be under the water. I live in SC there are so many bodies of water in just a 30 min. drive. Each year the amount of people that dround is high. The idea you have will be a great movement. Turning you loss into a movement that saves lives, is a amazing way to help you heal knowing you are helping other families from going through what any parent does not want to experience. R.I.P DJ.

Amazing job everyone! Wow is all I can say about the amount donated for the volunteer fire station! I'm thrilled that Bubba and Porkchop and the community can get all of the sonar gear for their boats. With a bit extra to help for extras. Amazing! I also love that there are so many people helping to find others, clean up the waterways, and spread the importance of this mission. Teaching others and helping others is how we leave a positive mark in this world.

Jared and Dan, have you given any thought to removing cars from the Silver Bridge tragedy on the Ohio River in Point Pleasant WV? It’s my understanding that there are still cars that weren’t retrieved in 1973 or 1974.
